I use The Core Media Player, supports plenty of formats and codecs, including several i've never heard of and the most important one for me as an anime torrenter, H 264. Also its snazzy looking and has a different icon for different file formats. One more feature I've missed in most players, the ability to skip back and forward 10 seconds (its in Mplayer, my choice of media player on linux).
Over the course of the lifespan of a given console: - A hardcore gamer will bring in $Y + 25X. - A casual gamer will bring in $Y + 5X. - A non-gamer will bring in $0.
Now applying this to a population of 100: - "Hardcore" gamers bring in $Y + 25X - "Casual" gamers bring in $39Y + 195X
Now for a population of 1,000,000: - "Hardcore": $1000Y + 25,000X - "Casual": $390,000Y + 1,950,000X
Why would a hardcore (or any gamer, or anyone at all) buy 25 consoles and 1 game over 5 years? Check your variables. Y=games, X=consoles.
speaking of educating children i remember one Calvin and Hobbes strip where Calvins mom convinces calvin not to eat the unbaked cake mixture by giving a graphic description how he would die of Salmonella poisoining if he does. Now that what real moms do.
Yea, don't let your children eat unhealthy, scare themselves to death instead!
Seriously though I agree with your posts. It really shouldn't matter what the kids eat in school, as long as they eat healthier or somewhat healthier at home. But what about parents that work and aren't there for breakfast? Parents that work late and aren't there for a late snack or even dinner ("Honey, you know the drill, there's food in the fridge")? It's not always easy to monitor your kids (in a healthy way, I mean) or even educate them if you aren't home.
Mom would certainly find something to complain about what I put in the recyclables bag or didn't put there. That's how much negative feedback I got back then, for pretty much anything whatsoever.
Wow, I really hear you. Not just that part, the whole post. My parents are almost exactly the same way, and I yearn for late-nights, school days, and vacations at other people's houses just to get the hell away from their control. I can't even breathe sometimes.
Unless the URL isn't a hyperlink (which it always should be), you don't need a New Tab button. Middle-clicking the link gives you a new tab with that url, if you don't have a middle mouse button, right-click and "Open link in new tab"
Re: the Sticky Pad, before the whole iPod fad, i seem to remember those being marketed for something else..I can't remember what they were for the life of me (it might have been keys, but why would you want your keys to be on the dashboard if you are in your car? hmm..).
During Home Ec. this year, my friend made a bunch of "wooly pouches" out of extra fabric he had for his nano. Free of charge.
Amen to that, brother.
A year or so ago during the big flu vaccine shortage, it was impossible to get a vaccine anywhere in my area for about a month or so. Even now, flu shots are scarce during flu season.
Imagine a 2D game like this...pop it in your GBA, yay 2D! Pop it in your 360, yay 3D!
The possibilities, the possibilities (too bad this is most likely NOT possible [the 2d-3d thing])
I call it the tower, but that can also be interpreted as just the case. Technically, "computer" is an accurate name for it, but people make incorrect assumptions that that includes monitor and all. Those are peripherals (at least the mouse and keyboard are, i THINK the monitor is too).
Furthermore, AdAware has a really nasty habit. I run it, clean the system, and reboot. When I run it agian, it finds more problems. No matter how many times I run this, it'll still find a few "critical" spyware problems.
While this is true, I ran it again and it found only 3 or 4 things. There was definately malware on the computer, whether it was truly critical or not.

I believe you have my stapler?
hmm...
Yea, same. I'm actually trying to look this place up on google. I wish parent had left a link...
Mod ^ up. I agree wholeheartedly with you. Too many people think that dyslexia is simply an excuse for people to become lazy.

Aray, w00t yaar!
No.
Since when do laptops drive down the street? Damn, better keep a better eye on mine...

Because everybody's doing it!

Now Opera on the other hand has a good startup time and it isn't preloaded into memory.

I suppose you like Half-Life 2 a lot then (not that I don't, but it's known for never making you lose control of Freeman)
Or some nethack.
