    I wonder if there is verbiage in consumer's contracts that allow them to end it early with no fee due to an adverse change, similar to cell phones. People outside of the 6 month or 1 year promo pricing who are still in the 2 year contract might benefit from this.

    2008 quarters minted - 2,438,200,000 - source 2008 dollar coins minted - 464,480,000 - source Granted, the amount of minted dollar coins is roughly only 20% of what the quarter mintage is, and then you have to add in pennies dimes and nickels, they are still minted in a large amount. Americans just simply refuse to use coins.

    The problem is you are doing something that is "cool" and "hip". To get better money, you need to do some nasty programming work that there isn't a glut of other people to fill in when you want more pay.

    At least for the World Events, this missing achievement was added at some point after the last go round of christmas, and it requires you to do a few things during christmas festival. I am sure he will get it done the day christmas festival starts. Not sure whats up with the one extra PVP achievement though.

If people weren't so willing to believe the shit they have been brainwashed with from birth (more money on education CLEARLY means a better education, everyone NEEDS a college degree, buying a house ASAP is ESSENTIAL to being a good American - All of the following lead to massive debt early in life), they would have more flexibility in telling their employer to pack sand when they pull some bullshit, regardless of there being 10 people waiting in line for your job, or none.

    If I got fired for being on vacation that was approved, I wouldn't really want to work there anyhow. Employees now are way too willing to work on their vacations. Take the vacation and leave the computer, turn off the company cell phone.

    Some things really do need an HDTV if the game was programmed and designed with only an HDTV in mind. For example, Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom is aboslutely HORRIBLE to play on a regular TV, the text was almost impossible to read.

    There is a reason it is called a speed limit and not a minimum speed. Places that have minimum speeds, ala interstates, don't allow non-motorized traffic to travel on it. It's amazing how that works, eh?

    This is why. As an aside, this does not prevent minors from consuming alcohol on private property in at least 19 states. As well as other ways for minors to consume alcohol, such as having a parent / legal guardian present / consent, as well as if the minor is married and the spouse is present and not drinking. Some exceptions are very picky.

    Right, because no other company ever makes lock in. Nope, I'm just imagining memory sticks, atrac audio codec, minidiscs, UMDs and all that jazz.

    As far as your comment on running something at a lower spec than it was manufactured, downbinning, is pretty much limited to cpus AFAIK. If the hard drive platter loses so much space that they have to remove gigs of space from the drive, the manufacturer is doing something severely wrong.

    You can't get a smaller data plan, the 30 dollar per month one is required. Point is, unless you already wanted those things, it really isn't cheaper than a ipod touch.

    But if you got a new three g iphone, why would you not use the data plan? I'm not saying its a great deal or anything, it just seems to defeat the purpose of a smartphone to not get a data package.

    i know ID cards are becoming more common, even for non drivers as card issuing technology gets cheaper, but mandated IDs for all adults are a far way away, even here in the soviet repu^H^H^H^H^United states of America.

    Before you go that route, how else do you prove your age to buy a product that is restricted to a certain age group? There aren't many things with your birthdate on them that are official in some sort of capacity besides a DL, ID card, passport, or Birth certificate. Comparing buy cigs to getting food is just stupid.

    Actually, the comic isn't at all alluding to what you think it is. In game you can get a mount that increases your speed so going to and from places is less boring. In addition to this, you can get 2 items that increase your speed while mounted. One is called "Carrot on a Stick" and the other is called "Riding Crop". The Carrot increased speed by 3% and is obtained fairly early on in the game, and the riding crop increases speed by 10% and is only obtainable at level 69. People who had their characters for a long time before the expansion came out probably deleted the carrot on a stick at some point, and then were petetioning game masters to restore the item, to try and stack the mount speed. Blizzard finally published an entry in the patch notes that you can't stack the items, hence the comic.
