  1. Upgrade Procedure? on Ubuntu 6.06 'Dapper Drake' Released · · Score: -1, Redundant

For those of us who are running 5.10 or one of the 6.06 betas, what is the upgrade procedure? Is it as easy as sending a few commands at the terminal or do we have to download, burn, and install as an "upgrade?"

Because the 4GB Hard Drive is based on Microdrive technology (see here for an illustration), it is tiny and small and therefore doesn't make any noise when it is spinning.

Wow! These drives must be great. To make a hard disk both tiny AND small has got to be tough.

Seriously though, is this the best article /. could find on the PSP HDD? It seems like there will be hundreds from which to choose and this one appears to have been written by my cocker spaniel.

No, it does not. If you RTFA you would have learned that the BOINC FAH client is still in development and is not available to the public yet. FAH uses a standalone client similar to SETI Classic's. It allows good manipulation through CLI and registry keys (for Window$).

That's how it was for me. BOINC wouldn't run properly. I guess I didn't try hard enough or something. After a bit of trying I decided to switch to Folding@Home instead. I like the client better and, in my opinion, the science is more beneficial to humanity.

Laptops really are taking off, but as I observe, most laptops are NOT used as primarily protable devices. They usually sit on a desk doing the same job as their larger, more power hungry brethren. They just take up lass space and are ocnsidered more chic by the non-nerd masses. Sure they get used on batteries occasionally, but most people will plug their computers into the wall if at all possible.
