Let Musk handle it. He seems to care more about progressing technological advancements over turning profits. In other words, he is effectively being the sacrificial lamb or otherwise affluent benefactor to the advancement of science and technology; focusing on the extreme long range view instead of instant ROIs.
At least, that is how it appears most of the time with him.
I never realized this until now; but when I need to do a deposit or withdrawal at my credit union, there is rarely ever any wait at the ATM outside. However, the tellers inside are almost always busy with customers. And of course, since it was built well after ATMs were standard, its ATM apparently replaced no one.
And on top of that, the one bank that remains from the three that existed here since I was little got its ATM in the late 80s, and apparently that did not cause any tellers to lose their jobs either.
By making the content available for viewing, you inherently agreed to your country's social contract that it would become public domain after a limited period. Don't like the terms and conditions? Then you can always find another country to emigrate to that does have copyright laws more compatible with your wishes.
The Internet outside of Germany is outside of German law. If the books are public domain in the U.S. then Germany has no say in the matter, since Gutenberg is a U.S. based site. And if they want to find a way to keep their citizens from accessing these works for free, they will have to do so without infringing any rights outside their borders.
Fortunately, where I am at in Oregon is not too far south of the 45th Parallel. We should be safe here, unless their are massive cartoon physics caliber ricochets.
I could have sworn that a large number of the games I had on my Apple ][ Plus back in 1987 or 1988 were from EA. the Bard's Tale trilogy, Legacy of the Ancients, Adventure Construction Kit, Pinball Construction Kit, Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer, etc.
So I am pretty certain EA was a game company back then.
I do have to point out that Elon Musk missed out on another historic opportunity he could have pulled off with this launch. It they can put a Tesla Roadster in orbit around the Sun, then they could have just as easily launched a tea pot into orbit as well, thereby totally ruining the Russell's Teapot Argument as a philosophical debate point.
Then again, they would just change to some other object like Hopper's Source Code, or Hawking's Colostomy Bag, or Ada's Dildo.
They have to build up as many as possible, because we don't know which one will be the next sacrifice. Remember, "Sacrifice in March, corn has plenty of starch."
If they were to teach non sequitur humor the previous term, then this question would be easily answerable; and the more ridiculous the answer and explanation, the more right the student is.
My own original go to response would have been, "17, because bananas can't moonwalk."

Nah. A Scwewwy Wabbit will just take a hand saw and cut the state loose from the rest of the continent. :D
How much are they paying for this? Isn't this sort of thing usually a pretty pricey aspect of IT?
Shut up, Alexa, and mind your place.
Now, please add titty chips and peanut butter shitting dick nipples to my shopping list.
And for sweet drinks, a straw causes less of it to get on your teeth, contributing to deterioration of the choppers if you don't brush soon after.
One benefit to the loss of City of Heroes is that had they not shut down, we would not be getting soon the much better City of Titans.
In the meantime, Star Trek Online is casually satisfying my MMO cravings. :)

But did he do it as a tribute to The Martian, or to Heavy Metal?

Would that be in the Goatse Nebula or Goatse Galaxy?

Good. Someone else already did the obligatory quote. Now I don't have to mangle it. :D
Those are good old fashioned emoticons, not emojis. :p
...at which point, he pulled out a snub nose .38 and emptied it in Goddamn's direction.
He would have fired again, but pity stayed his hand, "A pity I had no more bullets."

Grog!!!
Like deporting them to a large island half way around the world perhaps?
Well, belgium...
So now there can be no more Tweedle Beetle paddle battle in a bottle on that noodle eating poodle thanks to Kim Jong Goon?
Fags? What do Harley riders and the bike curious have to do with it?
Coffee
Java
Vitamin J
Elixir of Life
Rotgut (the instant coffee that comes in military MREs)
