dada21: I like this software. Can I have it? GPL: Certainly. Free to use. Only it comes with the "GPL". dada21: I don't like EULAs and licenses. I won't accept the license! GPL: Ok, use the program.
I think there's at least one point that needs to be corrected in this first example:
GPL: Ok, use the program. But remember, since you do not accept the GPL, your use of this program is bound by the normal copyright laws of your country (which are most likely more restrictive than the GPL).
My fellow Americans, our only option is clear: We need to preemptively invade the sun.
The logistics of engaging in an invasion of the Sun without burning up are mind-numbingly astronomical. But I suppose if it was all done at night, our troops would be safe.
Video Downloader Extention [mozilla.org] for Firefox.
That hardly seems necessary. In that frame on the right side of the Google video page is a link to actually download the video and save it to your hard drive.
The download is starting. Please Save the video file. If the download does not start automatically, right-click this link and choose "Save As".
No, what the Microsoft statement says is 'Well, Plays for Sure content might work, but we don't really care one way or another.' So yes, there IS a chance that MSN Music tracks will work on the Zune, but I thing that's highly unlikely.
As long as the Zune can play plain non-DRM encumbered MP3s, then there's really no reason for Zune owners who have purchased PFS music to not simply fire up their preferred P2P client and download MP3 versions of what they already purchased.
No. Science as we currently know it says that life seems to arisen nearly the instant it was feasible, and even that it may well have arisen multiple times between catastrophes that wiped out all life early in the history of the plane. It also says that, broadly speaking, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly unique about Earth, and that there ought to be an incomprehensible number of planets out there.
The Universe: Population? Zero.
As far as we know, there are an infinite number of worlds out there. However, we also know that not all of those worlds are inhabited. Therefore, there are a finite number of inhabited worlds.
Now, any number divided by infinity is so close to zero, as to not matter. Therefore, if the average population of the universe is zero, the total population must also be zero, and anyone you are likely to encounter is merely the figment of a deranged imagination.
I may be comitting a major violation of the groupthink here, but if you are a U.S. citizen, the Air Force or even Air National Guard is a good way to get a jumpstart on an IT career, especially if you can get into a combat comm squadron. Our current comm suite is pretty modern, with Cisco routers and switches, Sidewinder firewalls, Red Data Modules, etc. You will also qualify for some decent educational benefits, such as the G.I. Bill, tuition assistance, and if you go Guard and depending on what state you are in, stuff like student loan repayment and scholarships.
If you want to consider this route, especially ANG, send a message my way, and I'll send you some more info.
"Don't worry babay, I'm on the patch..." except he's not. Oh man there will be some serious assholes breeding kids out there.
In that case, Plan C (since by the time she realizes she's knocked up, it would be too late to get a prescription for Plan B)...

So now that HP is dabbling in Voodoo, does this mean that shaking a dead chicken over or in front of a malfunctioning piece of their equipment is now a viable troubleshooting technique?
The best security IMHO is linux with GPG and mix 'n matched off the shelf hardware. This way the HDD doesnt know what/where the encryption key is, or even that the data is being encrypted.
Why not keep it simple? Just keep all the stuff you want to remain secret on a CompactFlash card, or USB thumb drive, or DVD-RW? Something like that is easy enough to conceal while the feds are browsing futiley through the files on your hard drive(s) trying to find the juicy incriminating stuff that isn't there.
If for some reason you need to reactivate, just download a simple little tool called Make Me Legal. That will save you the hassles of having to get Microsoft's permission to do your upgrade or reinstall.
The smart thing for the FF team to do in return would be to send the MS guys a pie instead, preferably one that is super messy with lots of whipped cream.
Mod this kook down, this is a hoax. Everyone knows that Bush is going to take over this country and create the the Union of North America (UNA), not the North American Union you retard. Get the facts straight.
I thought he was going to announce the reorganization of the U.S. (and our northern and southern neighbors, including the other American continent) into the First American Empire, declare himself Emperor, and then start shooting lightning bolts from his fingertips. Or is that Cheney that's going to do the lightning bolt trick?
I don't know if this is a false memory or not, due to age. But I do seem to recall a few years ago when I was checking out FreeDOS, I was able to get CD-ROM drivers to load just fine using stuff like oakcdrom.sys, the drivers for the old CR-563 series drives, etc., combined with a copy of mscdex.exe yoinked from a MS-DOS boot disk. So, CD-ROM support in FreeDOS doesn't seem like all that big a deal to me. Now, if there was DVD-RW, and CD-RW support, that would be another story.
Back in the early 80s the CD was supposed to be 'perfect sound forever', and we know all too well that's not true, otherwise DVD-A and SACD wouldn't exist.
It's more likely that DVD-A and SACD wouldn't exist if the Redbook Audio Specification for CDs included Digital Restrictions Management

You mean something like this?
The logistics of engaging in an invasion of the Sun without burning up are mind-numbingly astronomical. But I suppose if it was all done at night, our troops would be safe.
There is. In fact, that special place was implemented back in late 1998. It's called Corpadverticus.
That hardly seems necessary. In that frame on the right side of the Google video page is a link to actually download the video and save it to your hard drive.
And later, in a similar comment, he stated, "Open source? When chairs fly out of my ass!"

Alright. Everyone join in now.

It's Eastasia we're at war with. We've always been at war with Eastasia.

Well, you have some nerve attempting to legislate humor. ;)
