    And from what I've seen there are a significant number of those "poorly trained" Indian workers who actually manage to learn and eventually do good work, so why not just open up the resume filters a bit and hire some inexperienced Americans instead. The tech companies should drop this nonsense about having to look elsewhere and hire "the best people"..

    Keep up man. Since everyone is now using AI to describe all the mundane methods that have be invented and reinvented since the 50's and are somewhat more useful today since we have monster hardware, the internet, and more gullible people, the real AI that would be actually useful has now been renamed AGI - Artificial General Intelligence. I'm not joking, look it up.

  7. All that money, how many billion spent, and they couldn't shell out a few extra 10 million dollar bills to have the apps written? And it's not the first time they failed to properly buy their way into a market. Just makes no sense to me...

    No kidding, the days of Gopher were the peak of internet usefulness. Imagine what could have been achieved if images, videos, and the Army of Lamers had never come! The dystopia we got is now requiring us to watch 5 minutes of inarticulate video just to get information we could have skimmed in 15 seconds. And when there is no video, we have to get that same text spread across 3 pages full of ads that each take 15 seconds to load regardless of your ISP speed.
