    You are obviously just trolling and have no idea how the BSD system actually works. It's just as simple as in SysV to restart a daemon. For example:

    /etc/rc.d/rc.httpd restart

    I'd definitely accept an Internet connection downtime of 20 hours/year. It would almost certainly be better than the dodgy ADSL connection I have at the moment.

    Grammar for fucks sake!

    "Grammar for fucks sake!" is not even a grammatically correct sentence, as it doesn't have a verb. "Some other typos as well, but who cares about those" isn't grammatically correct either. Also, "fucks" should have an apostrophe, and "who cares about those" should have a question mark.

    MINIX 3 is *not* a teaching OS. MINIX 1 was a teaching OS. MINIX 3 is an operating system intended for real-world use, although it's not mature enough to be useful at the moment.

    Recording macros without writing any code is not 'programming'. VBA is, but I think the vast majority of high school 'word and excel classes' wouldn't cover anything much more advanced than how to write documents and save and print them

    Just because gay means homosexual in some contexts, doesn't mean every time we use the word we are being homophobic. Words change their meanings.

    I know gay people who use "gay" in the context you described, so obviously it doesn't offend all gay people.
