    The claim itself is damaging. If these hackers are lying, with the sole intent to damage T-Mobile's reputation, then they've already wildly succeeded, and the evidence they'd have to provide wouldn't require a very deep penetration at all.

    So, does Opera have any functionality at least as good as AdBlockPlus and NoScript?

    They are the /only/ reason I use Firefox. Really, for webbrowsers, AdBlock Plus is the killer app - if Opera can block ads at least that well, I'll be done with Firefox for good. If not, I have no reason to use it.

    Stand up for yourself. It's honestly that easy. Do you ask them if you can use their bed? Do you ask them if you can use their kitchen? Do you ask them if you can use their art supplies?

    They obviously don't respect you. The're just using you. Not to mention, being very rude to expect that you'd just let them use your computer.

    So stand up for yourself, and just say no.

    Because how do you determine if the illegally obtained evidence is real, or faked?

    Let's say you're accused of having gone out and killed somebody. The only evidence against you is illegally obtained. It might be real, it might be faked - either way, the evidence was criminally obtained.

    These people who the RIAA are accusing are innocent, until proven guilty. Let me repeat that - they are /innocent/, unless guilt can be proven.

    The evidence against them, was obtained criminally - again, they are innocent, unless proven guilty.

    Your argument is a straw-man fallacy.

    Well that's just not true. Something like a Ferrari, iPhone, XBOX, or such is just about the opposite of simple, ubiquitious, or affordable, yet each of those items is tremendously successful. That's 0 out of 3, and all of those are surviving quite well while ignoring your thesis.

    Heh, I take it you don't watch American news, at least you haven't at any time during the past ten years. Remember the American invasion of Iraq? The destruction of Katrina?

    Etc. - my point being that, during that time, pretty much everyone in the Bush presidency got a free ride. The media basically said 'aww shucks, wull I guess he just gosh darned tried his best, and that's what counts, right?'

    In contrast, the scrutinty and out-for-blood nature of most of the news coverage of the Obama campaign since it began has been absolutely viciously hostile.

    What makes you think they haven't thought of that? You're stating the obvious.

    The reason they focus on 'life as we know it', is that /know how/ to search for 'life as we know it'.

    By very definition, 'life as we don't know it' is more difficult to search for. How to you try to find something you don't know the characteristics of?

    'Broader horizons' is one thing, but in a case we're trying to find extrasolar life, let's not invent artificial difficulties - it's already damn hard as it is.

    Y'know, that's a very childish statement. If someone gets cancer, do you tell them 'grow up, life is hard'? What if they lose their legs in an accidnet? Are shot?
