anyone else remember when Apple and Netscape were the high-profile complainants against Microsoft for insisting that the MS browser MUST come with Windows? I mean, that's SUCH an unfair advantage in favor of MS when it comes to software choice. So unfair... sheesh.
But don't let this put you off keeping all your data on the cloud. Who needs local files, amIright? Local files are so hard to manage... so put 'em on the cloud so the next time some underpaid operator forgets a command-line switch you can lose it all.
HAHAHAHA. You REALLY don't understand how this stuff works, do you? I will say again, I don't have to prove anything to you. And I'll be damned if I'll click a malware link presented to me by a troglodyte. Go suck your thumb and pound sand, little man. You and your "My way or the highway" attitude gets you nowhere around here.
It may not be unreasonable to you, but I really don't care about what you find reasonable or not. Really, I don't give a whit. I am not at trial, I am expressing an opinion and therefore am under no obligation to prove or disprove anything, all of which is still legal in the US at this time. I provide no link to any "right-wing blog" yet you make a point of accusing me of such; sounds like you're the one with a prejudice/censorship problem. So perhaps you can absorb that the opinions expressed by the posters are theirs and do not indicate anything other than their opinions; perhaps not. One thing I know for sure, I don't have to "prove" anything to you.
Every Chinese corporation (Huawei being a big one) with an internationally-facing department - most especially those that handle information transfer - are part of the government's data-collection system. It's the law there. To think they're not collecting and reporting is the height of naivete.
When asked, Mr. Ren did not wish to discuss the communist party members they were forced to hire in order to monitor their compliance with the Chinese government's diktat that all software companies must be available to be part of state intelligence collection operations. Instead he ended the interview.
I find it quite telling that no one here has thought that maybe the sleeping morons don't deserve the privilege of operating a deadly weapon on public roads. Someone gave these morons "licenses" to drive, indicating that at some point they had to take some "tests" as to their abilities to handle such an undertaking. Perhaps the problem is not with them sleeping but with the system that gives incompetent morons drivers' licenses.
This is going to be great for American investment in Russia. What CFO or other company rep wouldn't want to be a pawn caught between Vlad the Impailer and The Orange Baboon? Oh and I'm sure China would l ike you to visit, specially if your company has invested heavily in Canadian companies. Yeah... book your dream vacation now.
quite. it's MY OS, I paid for it, and I want it on MY disk, thanks. this all started when they broke the Explorer in Win7. ridiculous. whatever happened to downward comparability? who decided to fix what ain't broke?
What would that mean for outside bug hunters and any bug-bounties MS has on its software? Isn't debugging Windows an attempt to repair it?
Foxconn zecks are laughing in their beers about the idiots on the other side of the table. "Confusing"? More like "completely hoodwinking".

it comes down to the human with an irredeemable case of "click before think".
Gee, what a surprise...
What do you want from a group of self-reinforcing Bros whose entire youth was spent playing video games, responsible leadership?

and everybody gets a trophy. Awwwww...
Perhaps there is a correlation with how much time they spend online vs other demographics.

be sure to liberally spread "Winnie the Pooh" throughout the logs...

And Huawei wants the world to believe they'd NEVER collect data for the government. Yeah, sure.

"Why we'd never..." should be emblazoned on Huawai's letterhead and logo.
Guilty until proven innocent. Just what every totalitarian government needs to keep whomever they don't like locked up and silent.

again, our "system"s show all the signs of brittle fragility, a hacker's delight.
Well that explains Ben Carson
Slime thy name is Facebook.

From the people who brought us Tiangong-1: New, Improved, Much Better than Before Human Beings. Yeah, what could go wrong?
