The game will be released for both the PS3 and the Xbox 360 on October 16th, 2007.
HOwever since you won't be able to play it on PS3 until late november when its released then it can be said that the 360 will have it first.
You experience centriptal force, which is actually a Normal force of the wall of the human chamber experienced on ur body pointed from the wall to the center of the of the machine, assuming u sit facing inward. So there is a force.
Welcome to physics 101.
The highest I've gotten off the internal network where i go to school is 46 Megabytes per second, that was the fluke. On average I hit around 11-12 MBps. So those speeds are common enough if the local infrastructure can handle it.
God isn't guilty of murder. The people prayed, save John Doe over there, and God said no, its his time to go.
I love how the second a study comes out that says prayer didn't work this time, suddenly there's a lot of people that are like, see I told you so, God doesn't exist.
The lack of something doesn't prove non-existence.
I lack money, that doesn't mean there is no money.
i've been running osx86 on my gateway laptop for about 4 months now, and people have had it running since august, so it has been for a while. I think the main reason XP on Mac has been done is because of the idea of: look we got os x on generic pc hardware, let's go do it the other way around.
slashdot tends to load quite fine in IE7. I've read about all this standards compliance and stuff, but IE7 "Just Works."
I have a block list from spybot search and destroy and I have norton antivirus corporate adition, and I have yet to have a virus come through on my computer since last install, about 4 months ago when I upgraded to windows xp pro.
I am pretty sure, the problem is less and less with windows and IE being vulnerable than it is that users are dumb and don't run a basic virus and spyware scan.
I also run mac os x and linux on my gateway laptop. So the people who are gonna reply with, "but if you were using linux..." or "I can't run ie on my linux box" or "mac os x is more secure than windows" don't really need to reply. As long as it Just Works(tm) there's no real problems with an operating system, and right now, Windows, at least for me, seems to be the easiest system to work with many different types of hardware. I use camino on the mac, and firefox in linux so I am familiar with both. And all three just work when I need them to. That's what I want when I use my computer, no matter the operating system.
5 characters vs 5 rights; basic knowledge taught in high school level intro. to politics clases vs. basic knowledge learned from pop culture. The study sounds fair to me. By the way, my other post wast meant to illustrate the importance of the Simpsons in the United States.
In my experience my athlon 64 3700+ laptop is more responsive in mac os x 10.4.3 than windows xp sp2, but then again mac os is newer code designed to take advantage of sse3 and other instruction enhancements like that. Yes..........I am running mac os x on a windows laptop, why? because i can. www.osx86project.org is where i learned how to do it.
> > > Seriously, if you "brickify" your iMac while trying to Windoze-it, good... I laugh at you from a far... you deserve to own a $1300 paperweight.
> > You are new to this whole Nerd thing aren't you? The whole point of being a Nerd is to try to do tings to see if they can be done. Nerds never have, do not now and never will need a reason to do nerdy things and the same goes for stopping to think about the consequences. If we did stop to think about what we are doing so many of mankind's greatest discoveries and achievements would never have happened, the Manhattan project for example would never have been sucessfully concluded.
>IMHO, doing this with Windows is very unnerdy. No self-respecting nerd/geek should waste their talent with Microsoft products. If this were Linux, BSD or any other nerdy OS, I would understand, but with Windows it is just sad.
Isn't darwin a child/spawn/something along those lines of BSD?
Yeah, I was in class and i had OSX running on my Gateway laptop, and the teacher came over while it was running and asked why I had OSX running, my answer: "Because I can."
That's what geeks are all about, doing it something to see if it can be done, otherwise why would linux run on a toaster?
I am running the latest beta of ie7 and have been running it for a few days. So far, I have not encountered any problems displaying sites. I had one problem one day with one site, but I went to it the next day and it loaded fine. I also hadn't restarted the machine, so a restart didn't fix the probelm. The site also wouldn't load on my other machine so I can rule out that it wasn't ie7 that was causing the trouble. And yes, the site didn't load in firefox either, so I think that it was something with the webserver not responding to my machine at the time.
I'll be left with the History Channel. If they follow suit, I will abandon my T.V. forever.
I don't think you need to worry. The History Channel will be showing "The Last Days of Hilter" from now until the end of time.
That would almost be a Godwin reference if it wasn't so true. Almost everytime I watch the History Channel there is something about the WWII/Hitler on it. My dad calls it the Hitler channel for that very reason.
OSX x86 has a chance of running on most pcs that have processors with sse2. It can be a bit of a hassle to get it running though. It runs in VMWare 5 and I believe there is support for network drivers but I haven't tested them yet. This is also on the Installer DVD that you can get from the Mac Dev Network, however these things also require a bit of knowledge to get working properly.
The new radeons work well with the the catalyst drivers in windows xp 32 and 64bit, and also in Vista beta 64bit. The only problem i've had with radeon has been when installing on my computer which had geforce4 onboard i needed to disable the onboard video in windows and then the installation worked without a problem.
Many theatres train their employees to check ID for anyone buying tickets to R rated movies. I've seen it at my local theatre's also, and if it is not US law, then it is at least a wide enough policy among the various theatre's to check. And the parent post did not say it was law for the theatre's to check ids.
How is any time you hear about a spying organization doing more spying the reported really news? That's like saying people breath more oxygen when they breath more often.
The real news is the possible illegality of the whole thing.
What exactly was the verse that condoned slavery? Either I was reading too fast or I missed the verse that said "Enslave them for it is good sayeth the Lord."
In my experience, what many people fail to recognize when it comes to slavery in the time that the bible was written. Slavery was not race based slavery. It was I conquered you, therefore work for me. Race based slavery was not until the slavery that affected so many africans. Slavery was sometimes used as a way to illustrate a point in the writings of Paul. When he says "slave to sin" he means that we are forced to sin because of our nature like a slave is forced to work. It is an illustrative point, not condoning slavery. Paul wrote so that the people he was writing to would understand what he was saying. So take it in context, not just literaturely, but historically.
US Constitution. Article III, Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
I'm pretty sure that checking the routes of telephone calls doesn't qualify as levying war against the US or in giving aid or comfort to the enemies of the US. So yeah, treason may be too far to go. Impeachment may not be, but is it really that surprising that the NSA is monitoring electronic transmissions. It was DARPA that created the first network of what would later grow into the internet so is it unreasonable to expect the NSA to be checking traffic patterns?
My bad............sorry, I was looking at the months, not the dates.

30mbps cable to the house
not bad, around 60 - 80 bucks a month, but decently fast, and the network isn't super saturated, but it is on Long Island, just outside of NYC

FUBAR comes from the 1940's. I once read it came from WWII air forces refering to shot down aircraft, but I can't remember the reference.

30mbps download and 120 KBytes /sec upload through Optimum online. Kindof not standard though, but really nice anyway.
