    Multiple user accounts? thats way too much work there. What you can do instead is install flashblock for firefox or use opera's built in plug-in disabler (F12 menu> uncheck enable plugins).

    I have to agree here with the sentiment about foxconn conectors. They are indeed superb, not even once have they come loose on me like some other cables.

    Children have no expectation of privacy from thier parents. If it was govt. monitoring or corporate monitoring you would bet we would have a problem with it.

    Well Macromedia Flash has the ability to use your microphones and webcams, but not much else has the ability to do so.
    Fortunately, Flash has an easy feature to disable the use of your microphone and webcam that cant be overridden by the application itself. However that wont prevent the following applications from Google to do such things:
    • Google Toolbar (though I dont know if it would be easy to do such a thing in javascript)
    • Google Desktop Search
    • Google Earth
    • Google Talk
    • And any other installable application from Google
    That all being said, my gut is telling me that this is BS, but if it's not, then thats what you all get for using closed source!

    All member states of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Association) recieve inspections. Optionally the UN may request that the IAEA inspect a country. this is all a part of thier charter which you can read on IAEA's website

    Gee thats funny, logic yeah....
    So answer me this. Russia and other countries have offered non-weponizable nuclear power in return for suspension of enrichment by Iran. Iran refused this.

    Follow your logic and tell me why Iran would do that.

    Wouldn't it be much easier to create a kind of "Drudge Report" of Web comics, that aggregates links to new episodes as they appear? Seems like just about anybody could do that with some blogging software.

    Actually that already exists on many sites, I wont advertize any of them here but you can google for web comics lists and find dozens.

    Indeed, the framers intended for the Congress to make law, not enforce it. That is left up to our executive branch. Well, shit we are screwed 2 ways there as the NSA case has already shown us. Fortunately our courts are not so easily bought, or so we hope. The balance of power is very skewed in this and finding a way out of this treaty may prove dificult.

    This is an extreme scenario but heres why I would want my kids to have a cell phone at school. Lets imagine for a second that your kids are at school and you tune into the news and see that thier was a shooting at your kids school. You attempt to call the school but cant get through, Afterall every parent is going to be calling that number at the same time. Now you are woried about your kid and you need to know that he/she is safe and uninjured. Who do you call? How do you get through to them with out a cell phone?

    P.S. Gun control nazis please replace shooting with stabbing and you too can understand what I am saying.

    That's about as briliant as saying that all of europe speaks english so we should just release an english version to them, secondly a release is a huge investment many times for smaller developers they cant just release to the whole world at once. They run into problems with paying for all those presses at once, so they press it once for Japan, then they use those profits to pay for the amrican release, then those to pay for European releases

    Don't vista drivers have to be signed before they can be install? I think I remember reading something of that nature about vista, combine these and vista just might stop the practice of driver level drm.

    There was once a time when local legislatures attempted to ban rock music. Was it okay to do this because it was "commercial speech"? Nope, EVERY single one was overturned with reference to the first ammendment of the constitution. Before you start saying that "commercial speech" isnt protected you need to take a little look into the history of such things as well as actually read the law.

    I totally agree with you, games are reaching a point where the graphics are good enough for decent immersion, yet, the controls havent caught up at all. this may just be the next next gen sales point. Heck it might even prevent the gaming market from crashing again, games have been getting stale lately, a new control system will force devs to think differently.

    Ah but the problem is that we currently only use ~5% of the potential energy in fuel rods.
    Obviously this is extremely wasteful and should nuclear power become widespread there is no reason to belive that out efficency will remain static.
    Furthermore prices may increase but more than likely the increased effeciency will lower the demand, thus offsetting the price.

    Now dont get me wrong, I am not saying that uranium is the end all of our energy problems, I am simply saying its not wise to dismiss this out of current usage. We definately should be looking into more renewable resources and researching other (most likely non-renewable) power sources.

    P.S. look into pebble core reactors
