(I have to admit, I dont use yahoo for anything, really... This is assuming things like yahoo messenger etc, allow for avatars).
I guess you'll just have to use offensive cartoons instead... even though according to that list, the name mohammad is allowed. Man... isn't that like the most popular name in the world? They should ban that too:)
If you're just looking for a PVR, ya, you really dont need all _that_ much...
Are you looking to upscale dvd's or playback h264 files, you'll need at least a 3200+ (or maybe a bit less if you only want the h264 playback).
There's also sound cards for encoding to dolby digital 5.1 and such, for example, if you're hooking into a receiver and are looking for more than SPDIF playback from DVDs (such as playing games...)
The media makes up crap all the time to spice stories up when they just aren't intesting enough/slow news day/whatever...
For example, a buddy of mine had his bedroom go up in flames. They reported the fire on the news, where "One man was taken to the hospital to be treated for 3rd degree burns". Yes, he did get taken to the hospital. They put a band-aid on his finger.
Can I see a raise of hands who believes everything they see in the news? Didn't think so.
I think what you really need to tell people is not to assume things. Its been mentioned memory!=disk space and cpu!=the whole system...
Tell them to take a deep breath, and admit they do not understand this stuff. When asking for help, ask "I need more space for music, what can I do?" and not "If I upgrade my memory, can I store more music?"
Riders may wait slightly longer for the proper car, but the overall ride is shortened because the car stops less.
Hmmmm, everyone I've ever heard complain about elevators (myself included), its the standing around waiting for the car to arrive, not how many stops it makes...

That's why these guys get paid the big bucks... To state the obvious.
Right, and I work for a company that is doing a lot with RFID. I haven't gotten involved with any of the applications yet, but I'm sure its probably just a matter of time before I do... If I was dead set against the technology, I'd have quit a long time ago.
Right... Its only technology. It would be the people who decide "Hey! Wouldn't it be great to put these in peoples hands or foreheads and make a global monetary system" that would be evil...
They sure do. I had left a dreamcast controller with something on it, with the analog stick being pushed to the side. I had to restart the system to keep my character from running left the whole time:/
I would imagine you would be able to calibrate the joystick... But that brings up another annoyance... Having to calibrate it every time you boot up, or readjust your bean bag:/
Who knows... I havent done any research on the controller at all
Practice/simulations here
Man... this would be awesome! I'd never have to clean my coffee table again! I'd just let garbage collection take care of it.
Right!
Now... Who wants to go quail hunting? =)

Great... another way to get kids ready for war... first that american FPS, now they're training for hand to hand combat.
Wasn't that dailing bit done from the hotel room? The one with the 'bad cockroaches'?

Keep tryin'!
That might work... Cuz they are changing their target audience ;)
Not only did it murder galaxies, but it also helped force galaxies to commit suicide (NGE)

Has any body axed them? They might respond... *waits to see if anyone catches the joke*
For those of you who had jedi's and now their basically useless, you'll find this amusing (as well as anyone else for that matter)
Here, skip through the first minute and forty five seconds if you get fed up reading the text... Pretty funny stuff.
Now I feel really old. Having to reference promotional media that came on *cassette tapes*. It could be worse, though. Could be vinyl.
I did get ones on vinyl from burger king for 'Alf'. (Why am I admitting this?!)
Awesome! Thanks for proving my inability to read! :)
C'mon... 1 yen = .83US? Get real... I just ordered 15,000 yen worth of stuff from japan the other day...
1.00 JPY Japan Yen = 0.00829773 USD United States Dollars

Auto-calibrating could be an issue, if its on the table upside down when you boot up. ;)
