If I can't read? Are you some sort of fucking asshole? I was referencing comments like this:
I can clearly see that you've never used Opera Mini. I've used Opera Mini to read and post on Slashdot. It works just fine.
In my experience using both, Mini did not work with Slashdot while Mobile did. Furthermore, the article has over a whole paragraph regarding Mobile versus Mini, so I wonder if YOU can't read?
You should take your foot out of your mouth before you choke.
Since these people did not follow through and press "okay" the final time, a paper record would have done nothing. This is user error that would not have been fixed in any way by a paper record.
Specifically, the act specifically covers any business that contracts to make an investigation for the purpose of obtaining computer forensics to be used as evidence before a court. âoeComputer forensicsâ is defined by the new law as: âoethe collection, investigation, analysis, and scientific examination of data held on, or retrieved from, computers, computer networks, computer storage media, electronic devices, electronic storage media, or electronic networks, or any combination thereof.â Clearly this includes any and all of MediaSentryâ(TM)s activities in the RIAA cases.
Are you running the 'whois' to use as evidence in court? (Honest question)
Correlation is not causation. I wouldn't be surprised if when you adjust out for socio-economic factors, public school students perform better than home-schooled students. Those living in poverty cannot afford to not be at work and cannot homeschool their children. So the children who are homeschooled are disproportionately middle and upper class.
Agreed! I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile for this reason and eventually my entire family followed me and now many friends are following too. Customer service has been top notch for the 6 or 7 years I've had them in the United States.
That sucks that your experience was that poor. I've never gotten a DVD that was unplayable or skipped in any way. If I send out a DVD on Monday, they get it Tuesday and I get my next one Wednesday. I can then watch it and ship it out Thursday, and have the new one on Saturday. Since I have the 4-at-a-time plan, this is basically unlimited movies. Plus I can always boot into XP and stream movies too which works great. Wonder why the difference in experiences.
They also won't stream onto a Mac. My ex was pretty pissed when I touted the greatness of their streaming and then she found out, after signing up and paying, that she couldn't stream.
Except after the uproar, they decided to keep profiles. I'm thankful it caused such an uproar because my brother and I didn't know about profiles and were paying for two 3-at-a-time Netflix accounts to the same address. Now we've combined them into one 4-at-a-time account with two queues of two movies each. Very happy with the results. And we're saving tons of money.

Or are these people just Luddites who mourned the demise of the telegraph and have also never used a telephone?
Have you considered that perhaps this group of people is largely poor, homeless, illiterate, and concerned more about where their next meal is going to come from than whether or not you think they're backwards for not being able to afford a computer, internet access, or the time needed to learn to read as an adult?

Agreed. That video was terrible and terribly boring.
I used to send 3500+ messages a month. I don't understand how texting is "intolerably rude behavior" compared to people talking on their cell phones in all manner of public places?
On top of which, with texts you can A. get straight to the point rather than wasting air waiting for the person on the phone to come around to what they're actually calling you about and B. reply when it's convenient for you, whether that is immediately or in 5 or 30 minutes. I find everything about texting to be superior to phone calls.
SMS has certainly gone down in price in the US. Since I've had cell phones it's gone from $0.25/message or something like $20 for a few hundred a month to now I get unlimited across 4 phones for $10/month.
I pay $10/month for unlimited messaging across 4 different phones/phone numbers and have for years now. I don't feel the 'squeeze'. I'd much rather text message somebody than talk on the phone anyways.

I wonder if we're having some confusion between Opera Mini and Opera Mobile?

This is exactly right, I'm not sure what the GP was smoking/thinking.

Right, except he's being forced to report to prison during his appeals while she's being allowed to stay out during her appeals.

Um I'm been bargain hunting lately for a laptop and 3-4GB dual core laptops are what you get for $400-$800 these days.

Why a hack and why awkward? That's exactly what separate queues are for.
I've all of a sudden got these fake CNN news alerts too in the last couple weeks.
2 Skinnee J's - Pluto! lyrics
With depravity,
I break lots of gravity
Blast past the atmosphere
to the last frontier
I go boldly through space and time
The sky's the limit,
but the limit isn't the sky
I break orbit by habit,
I ignite satellites and leave rings round the planets
A flying ace like that beagle,
nevertheless this alien remains illegal
Cause their discovery don't cover me
the immigrants been left in the cold
to grow old
and disintegrate

Cause small minds can't see past Uranus
When I shun their race
cause that's just a phase

I have the same deal with T-mobile for up to 5 people for $10/month. I use it across 4 phones currently.
