Basicly, some people want to ban "assault rifles" because they look scary. If we painted them day-glow orange and had pictures of kittens and unicorns on them, they would be OK.
So if we got them to look like this, they'd be ok, right?
Okay, but how long does it last? Given the fact that I am not very likely to take off my shoe and bludgeon the person in front of me in the theater to death, how does this effect my likelyhood to do the same thing after the movie when I see someone I am not fond of?
I don't know about you, but I'd say that the likelihood of me bludgeoning the person in front of me in the theater to death increases depending on how loudly the person's phone rings during the movie, as well as how long the person talks.
No, just kidding. This looks like awful science, just like the 19th Century studies that confirmed the experimenter's prejudices that black people and women were inferior.
Well, according to this article, two Italian doctors have written a paper saying that being Oriental is akin to having down syndrome. I'd say we're not too far off from returning back to awful 19th century science.
This is why mice are the smartest creatures alive. They get us to figure out ways to cure all of their diseases, and yet we're stuck waiting at least 10+ years before we get an equivalent cure.
I'm in a similar position where the startup I'm working for is also looking to expand. In the last job fair I went to, the booth right across from the company I work for brought a little mini-oven along with them. With the mini-oven, they proceeded to bake cookies which could be smelled throughout the job fair tent. It was a pretty creative way of trying to attract potential recruits, however, they did have direct competition with a healthy lifestyle company offering health drinks/food right next to them.
...somehow I'd be a little disturbed about the battle field conversations, due to the position of that clock...
Sgt.:"Private, what in Sam hell are you doing!?"
Private:"Sir, just checking what time it is, sir."
Sgt.:"Damn it private, stop playing with your clock and push forward with the rest of the squad!"
May be possible if Deuce Bigalow is somehow involved in trying to take over the planet...but that in itself may have me thinking twice about getting the game...
If game companies are now allowing ads into their games and claiming that it's a new revenue for them to help improve the quality of games, would it be possible for the game companies to actually LOWER the prices of the games because of the new source of revenue?...Just a thought...
I hear a lot of complaints about how "the women in games are just sex objects" or how "women in real life don't dress like that", but you never hear anyone complaining about the guy wearing nothing but a loin cloth with maybe an animal skull on his head for a helmet. Nooo...it's almost always a problem with women in a bikini or skin tight clothing or something like that, but you never hear anything like that for the guys...then again, maybe it's just me...
Actually, Square-Enix did release the sequel to Brave Fencer Musashi (US:Musashi Samurai Legend, Japan: Musashiden 2-Blade Master) in the US before it was released in Japan.
I have to agree to what Richard Kirk said. I am currently interning in Japan, and sadly, women here are not given many of the opportunities that men have. This is due to the fact that when most women get married, they leave the company for which they work for to raise a family. The women I have seen working at the company I work at are usually secretaries or, at best, perform data entry. Things are changing, but I believe it will take a while for women in Japan to have the same opportunities as the men do.
I'm looking forward to being able to dual/multi boot OSes on one machine, but my friend may not share the same sentiments as I do. He's a Mac enthusiast and if he ever gets one of these machines, he won't know whether to hug it because of the Mac OS or to set it on fire because of it's ability to boot Windows. I had suggested that he do both, but that doesn't sound like a good idea either...
Wait, so what would happen to that tag once we have flying cars?
I'm not so high up on the corporate ladder, so I prefer to call them "Upper Management".

So...would the correct response to the parent be:
"No! No! No! That was the response from the last insult."
Or would it be:
"You never did know when to use that one."
Don't forget Las Vegas.

So...is there some kind of General Public License for beer similar to the GNU?
