I've been testing a Macbook for a Mac pilot in the place that I work at and I have noticed the machine also running hot with OSX. It's a Core Duo as well. Could it be the chipset of the machine? Possibly the Core 2's won't have this problem.
"Anything electronic must go in the hold (laptops, cameras, gameboys, etc)"
The airlines must be strapped for cash. A company I used to work for had a few mentally challenged employees who decided to check their laptops in instead of bringing it with them as carry on and every single one of them had their baggage broken into and their laptops stolen. After complaining numerous times to the airline, we were directed to the DHS and til the day I left, the company had not received compensation for the stolen laptops from either organization.
In the US (Spain is probably similar...most countries have similar copyright laws since the Berne convention), the RIAA is not involved with this money. It is distributed by an independent panel which spreads the money around based on the previously noted sales figures. They use fixed percentages to determine what bodies get the money (e.g. x% to labels, y% to publishers, z% to songwriters, etc.). Interestingly, their system bypasses teh normal trickle-down system where money is paid directly to copyright holders (labels and publishers usually) and then distributed through royalties from there
Since when has the US been charging a royalty tax on blank media?
If I were them, I'd rebuild those servers. No telling what backdoors and spy software those RIAA-MPAA goons/law enforcement officials put on the machines while they were searching for incriminating evidence.
I don't see what it is even news that the CIA is doing things secretly
The CIA doing this in secrecy is not the main issue, though it makes what's going on more insulting. The problem is that the CIA is taking information that is in the Public Domain off of it.
but we have to make some compromises...
Sorry, not with our freedoms. Compromise enough times and soon enough you've compromised what you've had all away.
Guy 1: I want you dead Guy 2: No! Guy 1: I want you dead Guy 2: No! Guy 3: Just compromise. Guy 1 you're allowed to him with this baseball bat. Guy 2: Ow. -Later- Guy 1: I want you dead Guy 2: No. You already can hit me with a bat Guy 3: Just compromise. Guy 1, you can chop off Guy 2's limbs. Guy 2: Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. -Much Later- Guy 1: I want you dead Guy 2: I said no. I've got no limbs left. Guy 3: Just go ahead and do it, it's not like he can do anything anymore anyway. Guy 2: Ack.
What percent of shares do they still own? If they end up selling too much stock, an unscrupulous company may swoop down, buy all these shares, and then gain controlling interest in the company.
You can also say that anybody who strongly agrees with the Patriot Act must be hiding something. Sort of like people who are vehemently anti-gay, yet are in the closet themselves.
Wonder how much toilet paper is going to be wasted by people who just want to read and not wipe. Or for those who do wipe, all those ink stains on a person's buttox.
But say someone puts a cage with a bunch of dead animals inside, locked it and chained it to your house. Would it be illegal to pick the lock to remove the items from your property?
As well as "SUPER UBER HURRICANES". I remember watching something on PBS on this or reading an article, but what heavily influences the strength of a hurricane is the temperature of the water. That's what happened with Katrina this year. It was a relatively meek category 2 hurricane after it left Florida, but it hit a hot spot in the Gulf and exploded into a category 5 practically overnight.
Just because the mob boss approved the action to silence the witness, he didn't necessairily know what the means were.

I thought a terrorist's goal is to spread terror which, by the code Red, they've accomplished. Blowing up the planes would've been just gravy.
"terrorists have not made American privacy close(er) to extinction, American government has made American privacey close(er) to extinction."
I wish I had unlimited mod points so I can use them all modding you up.

Now now. We shouldn't be making fun, especially when we drive on a parkway and park in a driveway.

Yes, but it is easier for bubbles to form in ice that contains trapped ancient air samples. It's the old air they're excited about.
As much as the NYC subway is nice because it is free from Cell yell, I can'y imagine not being able to use my wireless services while commuting.
I can and it's great!
Why not?
If person A sells his product saying you can only do X with it, can't person B give away his product saying that you can do only Y with it?

Supple, like in trash novels.
More like it was assimilated by Johnny 5.
Given that you Christians believe in one God (or is it three?), won't it get rather confusing if you name all the planets after him?
Why? You've got the Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit, Rex, Mittens, Nibbles, etc...
The Divine Mystery, One God, different persons. E Plurbis Unum, one big happy family, or something.

I wonder if the people selected would take it seriously if this ever gets produced:
