"MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The past few snowless, warm winters could be the beginning of a long cycle of milder winters in Minnesota, similar to an era in the 1920s when a stretch of warm winters lasted into the next decade, a meteorologist said."
You don't suppose for an instance that the weather, just like everything else on this planet is cyclic? Maybe I am just being silly, but I do not know that we really have enough data to prove global warming.
You don't have to be a rules lawyer - You can just play the game and the software keeps track of the rules for you. That is one of the things that bothered me about MTG in real life -- if you didn't know rules very well, it became difficult to play. And the rules were difficult to keep up with...
Have to agree with you and also point out that most recent phones use Voice Recognition software, so you don't even usually have to push more than one button - then say the name of the person you want to call...
I should actually not say "most" recent phones, but I do know for absolute certain that my Motorola V120c has this feature
"Most of the broadband providers are really just beginning to learn how the networks perform, what the possibilities are, and how they deal with theft," he said.
My sides hurt from laughing at this. How many years do they need to be in the business before they figure out how their networks perform? Even better question... How can they feel justified to sell us a service they don't understand? How do they know $225000 or whatever amount of money was stolen if they can't explain a simple thing like networking??
Just a thought
I did not see any mention of OS in this fridge. I wonder if the dreaded day has finally come when Microsoft trys to get its.Net fingers into household appliances?
Should be interesting. I won't even bother mentioning some of the obvious places something like this could go.
Isn't it interesting how people always log out before they spout out nonsense that they know nothing about?
At any rate please rest assured I have never lost a server in the last 10 years that I have been working on them professionaly. Furthermore that "linux klone" that serves as a router for my household has been up for a steady 4 to 5 years with exception of power shortages.
Don't you feel better knowing that?
But as to your claim - you are partially correct - that "little partition's" mere presence does not necessarily slow down the computer - however, the proprietary software that is run from it often does.
Next time you have something to say to me, show me a little respect and don't log out first.
True, but they would view an emulator as enabling them to be distributed... Just like other companies did not want Tape Recorders... Not saying I agree with the policy, but if you are trying to make money than it makes sense in a way.
Except that most big-name server vendors utiliy partitions are a proprietary nightmare that often cause more problems than they are worth.
If you don't believe me buy a new computer fdisk the hard drive remove all partitions completely reformat drive with no Vendor junk on it and then see how much faster your computer runs.
Of course that is not entirely caused by the utility partition, but it still causes other problems... Especially if you need to copy drive, etc.
How is it not important? I don't understand. For years people thought acne was small worms crawling out of the skin. (I have in my possesion an early 1800's medical book that actually has drawings of it.) We think that is now a silly thing, but it was reality to them.
Perhaps we might finally learn more about body parts that we currently slice out of children if the parts are infected. Perhaps these new aminos hold clues to diseases.
Although we may not know the application now, even the most "insignificant" discovery can change the world.
Just out of curiousity. It seems to me my Amiga had full screen video capabilities out of the box, and had no contingency upon any "streaming" video player... Not only that, but it was almost 10 years ago. Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction? Do we need a "BIG" corporation to feed us content players? Perhaps it is more a hardware issue? I do know this, if linux users maintained the diehard spirit that Amigans had back then (and some do now) it would not be an issue. Some one would write what was needed to do what need to be done, and no one would whine about "Microsoft" this or that, because just like in the old days, we would have something that was better, and more personal, because we stood together as community and built something worthwile, instead of hawking around and flaming every pour soul who has half an opinion...

The consumer did not Choose inferior Cd's over Vinyl, we were forced. Just like we will be forced to choose DVD.

They (like any company concerned with profits) are not anti-emulator, they are against people distributing their games without paying them for it.

Yes and No.
Yes it might not be that bad in this instance. Although it IS bad...
However, it is poor coding, poor security, blatant negligience on MS's part that allows so many virus's to be distributed so easily.
Hello Klez.
To think that anyone would even desire to copy this movie.
Agreed, but I am not saying owning a car is not more convenient.
I am only saying that it is not more economical.
Well I have no idea how much public transport in DC costs, but using the prices in New York:
1.50 / ride * 2 rides / day * 365 days / year = $1095 / year
Average loan of a car = 5 years or longer, but 5 years for ease of calculation
5 year total cost of Public Transport = $5475
Compare this to the average new car around $10000 (roughly unless you drive an economy or luxury car)
Plus Gas
Plus Maintenence
Are you really sure it is more economical to drive a car?
Funny thing is We DID have the worlds best national train system, but at this point most of the rails sit and rot.
Why is this?
Henry Ford?
American Egoism? (SUV Syndrome)
Who knows for sure, but Its interesting to be sure.
Is this Flamebait? Could you possibly be serious?
MP3 is not propietary enough for Microsoft who wants to control more and have the user know less.
Plus Microsoft would rather sell Copy Protected Media and charge the music/video/movie industries licensing fees to use their copy protection scheme.
hum Since seismic has a strong relation to or dependency upon the vibration of a "world" this might bear just a little problem then wouldn't it?
I might be wrong with my definition of Seismic, but last I checked it was used to describe earthquakes, vibrations of earth, etc.
I for one was appalled.
Yoda did not look dignified, he looked like a Taco Bell dog on Crack.
Overall the dialogue in the movie absolutely sucked.
Finally, could anyone care to explain to me how in the "world" seismic charges work in the vacuum of outerspace?
Come now the Film industry is much more important than reality.
People must be entertained after all.

Maybe you can play Everquest on the road too
/g AFK while I see if this pedestrian I just hit is OK.
Here comes the Chopper to Chop of your head.
