I own a LAN-gaming center and have to pay Valve one set fee per year, but I get every game they make over Steam on every computer at my store. It works flawlessly for me.
Who uses their cell phone simply to place and recieve calls and nothing else.
There has to be someone else out there like me who doesn't give a rat's ass about video/music on their phone.
I've always been a space-nerd. I like the fact that nations are talking about big plans to go to the Moon and Mars again, but does it seem to anyone else that these news stories are trying to hype into existance a new "Space Race"?
Last time it was the Soviets we were trying to beat to the Moon. Huzzah, we did it! Then we've pretty much sat on our asses since then. Now in these modern times it seems as if every few weeks we're given a new story about which country is trying to develop the technology to get back up past Earth's orbit.
It seems to be that the collective media are trying to excite us about competing with other nations to get back up into space and I'm afraid it isn't working on me and many others I've talked to about it. I would rather see us all work together on such a massive undertaking instead of trying to out-do each other.
Why? Because the USA seems to think it's penis will be considered too small if some other countries do something better than we can. This will give the budget-makers incentive to make sure that NASA gets on the ball and develops a shuttle replacement quicker.
We can't let other countries do anything better than we can, it's just not allowed.
Not to turn this into "flamebait" or whatever you kids are calling it nowadays, I am no huge fan of Wikipedia. I'd much rather have a resource that's peer-reviewed and professional, i.e. no sources/
"facts" from the general population.
Sure, a free resource of info is all well-and good, but this allowing everyone and their brother to edit articles is unacceptable.

...does AT&T hate America?
Does anyone else remember there being an Indiana Jones based CYOA book? I vaguely recall there being one.
I've never met anyone that *didn't* want to run OS X *Raises hand* I have no desire to. But then again I hate anything that has to do with Apple.

This makes me very sad. We don't talk about this game at family gatherings. It's a sore subject with a lot of New Englanders.
A +2 Troll? God bless Slashdot.
If I'm going to steal something I'm going to steal something useful first.
Nice, that's my local newscaster. Hurray for Maine!
There's me. I refuse to buy ipods. Why? I hate Apple and refuse to give them money. Hell I try as best I can not to use their free products either.
Anne McCaffrey is one of my favorite authors.
I too hate the word "podcast" RealAudio was doing this ten years ago. Death to Apple for cursing us with a new trendy term.
Finally?!

I'm glad to know that there are other /. D&M fans! Good day to you sir!
I'd drink to that! California is a festering boil on the face of America.
Too bad. I have no sympathy for those who use OS's that maybe 400 other people use and complain when it doesn't work with what's mainstream.
Enjoy mediocrity fanboys.
FP?
That's no moon...
Sure, the Apple-fanoys will gobble it up because that is in their nature, but I'm sure it'll be a flop with the rest of humanity.
He has a point, there way way too many open source/ anti-MS orgies here. There are other nerds to think about too!
Everytime Google farts there has to be a /. story about it now.
Don't worry. You're not alone in your hatred for Anime.
