    Yeah, I agree completely. As a developer, I also have to manage deployments to the point of where I have administration rights on all of staging, and then during deployments I have admin rights on production also. to caveat it all, some developers the company has hired has no idea beyond the language they were hired to do; so for them to have admin rights has been a detriment to our tech team requiring rebuilds of their laptops several times

    I don't think you understand the appstore. I can not download the source, recompile it, package it and put it up on the app store as it exactly is. If the appstore wasn't governed then maybe what you are saying would be true.

    I am not sure what type of tests you are talking about, If you are talking about the ones that are like 30 questions multiple choice etc... I agree it's crap. However when I interview people for positions similar to mine I ask simple questions like, how would you write a function to solve the area of a circle. joel on software in my opinion is a gread read for this type of thing

    Just so you know, they say that you need their box in most cases. All of the OTA channels that they service are able to be decoded.

    Such a good point. I rebuild cars in my spare time for fun, but If I have to do it out of need it isn't cost effective for me to do the work myself.

    Why did you have to upgrade your kernel, last gentoo install didn't require a reboot, all of the hardware worked fine.

    As I frequent the downtown (1 mile away) I always see the same people over and over again, in the bus stop, and next to bars. I get asked by the same people, and every week they are given food from caring organizations.

    most people I know do not have a setup like i do. but I am able to achieve around 7.6 megs per second. Now I only subscribe for 6 megs, kinda funny eh? when you don't use windows, don't have spyware, don't allow dirty packets through. You would be amazed at how fast you can download iso torrents of the latest linux.

    1) How did your 9 year old get the money to buy GTA? When I was 8 I had my own income, I raked leaves, mowed lawns, shoveled driveways. I used to make 40$ a week when I was 8. A rental store was about .8 miles away 2) How did your 9 year old get to the mall to buy GTA? Its called a bike, walk, public transportation. I used those methods to get to shopping centers 3) How did your 9 year old get it home without you knowing? Backpack, pocket, etc. Downlaod it illegally? 4) How did your 9 year old play it at home without you being aware? Since I was 8 I had a computer, television, and a phone jack in my room. I bought the television, and helped with the computer, and phone. I remember playing the first GTA on my computer. (for 5 minutes) Its like saying, sure, kids won't be able to get porn if we make it illegal, smokes, pot or alcohol. Thats working well for us in America. I mean c'mon, do you really think you know everything that goes on with your child?

    Same thing happened to my friend, I ended up mounting it in linux and writing a bash script to convert and relabel every file to ignore DRM. although it took 12 hours to process 3 gigs of music on a 64 bit 3000+

    I believe what they might be going for is having it last as long as a continually recharged battery.

    But if your right, don't you think they would develop it more? or maybe thats why it was prefaced with
