    well for me the last opgrade (iphone 5 to iphone 6) was about getting lte on frequencies acctualy used for wide deployment here in Norway iirc the Iphone5 only sopported one band (used by the most exspencime mno here)

    Please tell me what is wrong with the GNU/Linux command line (do jo mean besh etc, or the qnu utilitis ie grep etc?) ? IMHO leave it there bot make gui tools good enugh so that 80-90% of users never need the command line. Of corse if you hget your support on forum there might be a while til you get refferences to gui as it is way easier to copy/paste a few lines of shell comands then guide someone thrugh severalk layers of menues esp if the other person happens to run on another language version

    It's called increesing the sample size, if the have just done it once before, one datapoint is insuficient forr conclusion (individual diferences etc). You are right at this point in time the data may just be a cientific cureosity, but if we as a species ever plan to spend a significant amount of time in space (read years or longer) this research mey give early hints of medical benifits/problems befor someone i stuck on a n year round trip geting severe problems of onknown origin far far away from all but the most basic infermery/sickbay

  8. Sorry to nit pick but those are consoles not gp computers (ie sold as single use gaming machines). Competitors for windows wold be BSDs, GNU/Linux and to some extent OSX (well ok I know not a straight replacement as you ned to get hw from apple in order to get a legit licence for osx). So the question is has any of the above OSs done this? To my knowlage no but I apreciate any corrections.

    Or do it the simple way, just disable the wifi in settings and dont connect wired ethernet, no need to void any warrantee.

  10. I Gree finder is something that needs to be ripped out of OSX and replaced with something better ( a bort of windows explorer would be a grat start) but the file system it selt is not bad (I'm no fs expert). I have no problems with the dock itself

    Hmm not that the PI will runn them (and it was nor designed to) but to answer your ludditre software claim I'll sugest you take a look at Davinci resolve (sadly ar rhis time only the USD 999 studio verson runs on linux but who knows wat the future will bring, indications are prommising as a free version is avalable both for OSX and Windows) it is considered the sranfard for color gradibg and latly they hav allso added a full nle, and Blac magic design is allso making a linux verson of their compositing/vfx package Fusion. So unless you consider these applications luddite imho you have just been shown that at least in part you are sadly misstsken

    thar of corrse depends on if you express it as an unsigned integer or not fo a signed 2 bit int that wold be -1 iirc, let's jus asume that the 10 above was a somewat longer int whith the leading zeros truncated

    Nice list but 8 is totally unrealistic remember these router need to be cheap if you are for widespread adaptation, and with more and more traffic m moving to https that means ssl/tls intercept at liberates thar are 10s if not 100s of Mbps. Hvis that can handle tat are not cheap, the rest of the list is almost (-the drive bay and the wireless) met by Ubiquiti edgerouter products ( even dual WAN) hver it comes to være less i actually prefer thar dom py a separate ap as that can be placed for best coverage inipendently of where the rest of the wired network infrastructure is ( esp with PoE)

    Well yes ara maximum but you never have thar many hosts in a layer 2 domain to mouch all node multicast for things like nd and dad) I seem to remember reading a Cisco recommendation ones to limit the number of hosts in a layer 2 domain to ~100

    Well thar was the old recommendation from RIPE but it has bin changed now the minimum is /64 (well actually that is the max mask length but it results in the min numerous of subnet =1) I whish the wold have the max at a /56 then internal subneting would be possible without braking things like slaac

  23. Eh html5 is a dog when you torn off hw acceleration, so don't turn it off then. Why would you turn off hw accel. anyway, it's implemented for a good reason, and hvat codec did the video use, mayby the developers of that codec did not spend a lot of time on sw decode since it's not standars practice to turn off hw accel.

    Just a small question, is dialup just used to reffere to analog modems, because ISDN (that is the domestik BRI not the buisnes PRI vareant) provides 64 or 128 kbps (if you bundelded the two farachannels ande used multilink ppp) but you still had to dial the nearesr pop, so if you inklude ISDN as dialup you could actualy get 128 kbps ( thst was before ppp and tcp/ip overhead) . Or was isdn for non buisness use primerely a scandinsvian thing as broadband ( cable/dsl) was telativily late here?
