Sounds like it's still (and will be for a long time) a great time to be an electrical/computer engineer! Of course, it's not worth it if you don't enjoy what you're doing, especially in EE fields!
Haha, sorry, I just can't help myself from laughing -- does he really need to use a RUG? I can just imagine a big old rug on his desk covering the mouse. How about a bathroom towel? Or unplug the mouse? Poor guy will suffocate with an entire RUG on him!
You're definitely right, it was Star Wars-esque. If you can't like this movie, then you need to go back and watch the original 3 and remember what you SHOULD be expecting.
My only complaint was that the one-on-one light saber fighting scenes were a bit short. Remember the Darth Maul scenes from TPM? Those were LONG, and left me a bit unsatisfied with AOTC's. However, AOTC's were of course still excellent.
I seriously thought that it was going to be Samuel L. walking in the door to take on Count Dooku. Seeing that it was NOT him was no problem considering who it really was coming in:-)
And I think we all have a feeling who is going to kill Samuel L. Boba Fett was such a little bastard, and although he didn't say much at all, for a kid, i was impressed with his mean acting.
Very good movie, and i think that the love scenes were short enough not to ruin anything.
The article points to a post that shows how you can get galeon to load faster by keeping it in memory at all times. This can be done by running galeon -s &...
But do I want this to run at startup? It will ALWAYS take 10 or 11 MB of ram up... and I always have my browser open anyway. Sometimes when doing intense things, I'll close it. But it's nice to know that if you run galeon -s at your gnome startup, you can get in very quickly.
So how much money did they save by switching to an all Linux-based solution? That is the kind of info that Linux advocates need to be spreading if they want it to get out to a corporate level.
This is true, but most people don't want to start a few extra days earlier. But as far as sleep goes, students have to know where their 'point of no return' is, where they should just go to bed because studying more is hurting their grade rather than getting good sleep. Sometimes giving up and going to sleep and possibly waking up a bit earlier is way better.
I'm going to go against the grain and simply state that you're at the wrong school then. I go to Ohio State, the KING of Red Tape. Yet every day I've still been learning more and more stuff (ECE major), in and out of the classroom.
I think Apache is a very good free program... But it does lack some of IIS's features. For example, it just doesn't support the Nimda or Code Red worms, at all.
Chances are that you're not going to be able to negotiate your contract too well. I would probably end up submitting the code under a false identity, and not let anyone at work know about all the extra stuff going on. Yeah, i know that I'd like to have my real name attached to my code, but sometimes it's the next best option besides taking chances.
The only idea i have is to use it as a kiosk... I wouldn't ever use this on my workstation, and I think it's low priority. Vote for something more important.
Don't worry, I tend to only drool over the girls that AREN'T cocky and self absorbed.
Fredian psychology like this is no longer respected much in the psychological community, although I myself am still with Freud!
Proud ECE student at The Ohio State University,
But this is *China* we're talking about. They would NEVER be so careless about their citizens' lives, now, would they?!

But then he won't be able to reload slashdot and report his findings!!!!!
Can we see all of your scripts and crontabs? I would like to help out, but don't feel like reinventing the wheel. Thanks!

Go to college, have fun, go to football games, get drunk, and get laid. You have the rest of your life to be a gear in the machine.

Grades, sleep, social life. Choose 2.

Find a better school, they are out there.

OS/2 focused on business. Microsoft focused on desktop.
tool.
Isn't this actually a valid point (not to that big of an extent, though)??

Check out #6 on this link -- I think I originally bookmarked this after it was linked from slashdot. Scary stuff!
Any legislator that would try to repeal this could kiss his position goodbye -- nobody will want to re-elect this "pedophile".
So now its the techies that have to pay the price. Not an unfamiliar theme.
to return to peace is to prepare for war

Yeah, I guess having his friends and server use some form of SMTP authentication from anywhere would be too hard. What a dipshit.
