I honestly can say I have never seen the Bodyguard (or Titanic). I hardly ever have time to watch movies at the cinema and by the time they get to video I just can not bring myself to listen to the soundtrack one more time...
I only just noticed that it was Whiney. I always read Whitney. I should have realized - I mean girls on slashdot, what next?
Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling. Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes... The dead rising from the grave. Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together - mass hysteria.
And the kegs of McDuff are quite inexpensive... The brewery was named after the owner whos last name was Duff. I think it was around before the Simpsons but the guy couldn't be bothered fighting with Fox. Fox paid for the rebranding though.
I had a look at a couple of the page mock-ups on the site. The information seems organized in a much better way than on the Wiki-species page. If the actual site turns out to be as good as the examples I will use it frequently.
People who just scan titles, esp on RSS, are going to think this is a dupe.
I almost did. But then I remembered that Slashdot has editors to prevents such horrible things as dupes and that this must have been a legitimate follow-up to the previous article.
It is interesting to see that choice is good, unless someone may have the choice to install software from Microsoft. I know when I get a new computer, I like having the choice to run windows.
Given who the laptops are going to, my guess is that Microsoft would have to give away any version of windows that actually ran on the computer. It is not as if the owners a going to have spare money lying around to buy a license.
Well, we know there must be two variants of the gene, one for long life and one not. We just need to find some "next-key" HD-DVDs to find the other the variant...
From the example screenshot it appears it is a file system. You take a snapshot of your system at some point in time and it stores this data even when files change. Of course, with any file system it is important to have functionality that allows you to view the files as well...
I use the webmail extension to check my hotmail account. The only time I have had problems in the last year was when hotmails interface changed but that was fixed in a day.
I though they must mean the nano but there is already bigger ones out there... I really had no idea there had been that many iPod generations. Those things breed like rabbits!
I am pretty sure I have heard of previous robotics competitions... so FIRST much be an acronym and not capitalized for emphasis. Anyone know what it stands for?

Isn't that the game with numbers in rows and columns?
I recommend you get a license to sell real estate
Is this just because they were the obvious winner... just like emacs vs vi in the best flamewar poll.
The problem is that todays speakers go up to eleven. That one louder...
Anchors drag things down, or at least keep them where they are. I think they need a better analogy. Perhaps something to do with cars...

With that massive jpg on the site, it won't be long until the site becomes extinct.

Can someone tell me if this is really news from 2005... or has something important actually happened?
Doesn't even include firefox...
We all know that Microsoft makes the most common malware known to computing. There was never really any competition to stop the USA getting the title.
Why don't they just pool their web browser, e-mail client and calender application into one big package. That would be a great start...
