    All that said I am in favor of all the software and efforts to help Chinese people blog anonymously. I believe the more communication the better, the fourth estate serves the government and the internet helps subvert that.


    Isn't it funny how these anonymously web browsing tools are for freedom/democracy in china however if you use them in a excellent(sarcastic) example of democracy... America, you are considered a terrorist?

    Perhaps Google's purchase was partially funded by the copyright holders. They(copyright owners) get rid of the blantent illegal uploads
    (I doubt google wants to risk being sued)
    with out wading through the courts and google gets aquires new technology.

    and in your 'note taking' you fall down the stairs, which give you an excuse to sue the home owner for having an unsafe house. Something similar happened in Aus, a Burgular was either bashed or slipped and was able to succesfully sue the victim(the property owner).

    It is only easier if you have a no name desktop that has supported components. It is a pain in the ass for intermidiates to install if you using things like laptops with shitty graphics.

    They probably used a dictionary attack and found out various passwords. They dictionary would be things like the %username%, password, asdf1234, admin, root, apple, hello ...
    This can be done very fast compared to brute force.
    What the script does it gets the word to guess hashes it the same way as the password does (eg SHA-1) and if they match you have the password.
