You code your way from moms basement to IPO. Minigames include /. where on the lower levels you just post but on the higher levels you race to beef up your webserver cluster to handle an upcomming slashdotting. The table tennis physics engine will be used in the basement minigame pocket ping-pong (the hot coffee of the game), and in the higher levels you must play squash & tennis with business partners and almost win to close business deals.

Oracle can easily start to sell products boosting "Verified high reliability", if they think consumers do want pay lots for well proven sollutions (read ancient). Their problem is that they want to force customers into buying prehistoric software at premium prices. This PHB sees lots of money going onto the patching and feature adding business at Oracle, and desperately wants a way to kick the coders and sell the current product forever.

Their customers value varporware and bells and whistles higher than reliability when buying a enterprise database. To Oracle, laws against bells and whistles seams to be the right way to squish the competition.
