you are actually quite right, it is about female psychology. it is a fact that women are on average lot more egocentric. the reason for it is very simple - biologically males are expendable, females are not.

but times has changed, human society now is very different to human society hunderds of thousands years ago. behaviour patterns which worked back then are serious dated now. males have adapted to the 21st century, females not, and this causes lots of problems.

there is a great german word for those who have modded you down: "berufsbetroffene". this word describes people who see it as their job being conserned and offended. they read your opinion and are offended about you being misogynic in their eyes. they are the same people who try to be overly political correct.

well, i've got news for all those bleeding hearts: males and females are NOT equal. equal rights, yes. but that's it. women are on average lot more egocentric and they listen more to their instincts and to their emotions than to their consciousness.

But you still can learn something from EU:

    1) Give records of european flight passengers to a country without data privacy
    2) European court of justice says: wrong legal basis, find a new legal basis until 30. September or stop by then
    3) 30. September passed, no new legal basis, everything goes on as usual
    4) This violation of a court decision is then called "legal vacuum"
    5) The airlines won't get sued because "it is not their fault"

But wait, it gets even better

    1) SWIFT gives the bank transaction data to the US intelligence
    2) It is proved that it is against EU law
    3) SWIFT sais it is not against US law so it is a legal grey zone and they can go on as usual

And because EU-Comission thought it is fun it is thinking now about giving phone communication data to US.

and when you are shooting, you are not prepaired for the recoil and you are not standing in a special stance, right?

there are no kicks in judo (oh well, there are actually some katas with kicks and so which are learned only by dan grades) but nevermind. you can send someone flying for a short distance and remain standing - because you are prepaired for it and have a stable stance and your opponent is not.

the same with shooting - normally gunmen stand in a special stance. they are prepaired for the recoil. their targets are not. when you are running you can lose balance too quickly.

yep, and because of newton's laws you cannot kick somebody off their feet without falling yourself and judo exists only in fairy tales.

  14. Re:Inertia on 10 Terrible Portrayals of Technology in Film · · Score: 1

    not necessarily.
while theoretically it is true (newton's third law) the reality is a bit different. just look at the shooting stance: you are prepared for recoil, you have distributed your weight to the point that there is no way recoil could disturb your balance.

a running person for example can lose its balance much easier. so a weapon can knock a person of their feet and leave the gunman standing.

this is the same way you can knock someone off his feet by kicking the person and not to fall over yourself.
