That is why the show is so great. You have two completely opposite personalities struggling to come to a common goal. I too am a person that is quite anti-social. The fact that I am married baffles me sometimes because I think back to when she and I met and I have no idea who I was when I got up the nerve to ask her out. It just isn't like me to be that 'brave'.
Though 110C temperatures sound high, I have a NVidia 6800GT Massively Overclocked and it used to run about 80C at full load with the stock cooling. On a hot day outside, it got up to 100C quite often. Those temperatures are not horrible for video cards. They are designed to experience that kind of temerature. When I put watercooling on my videocard, the temperatures dropped to a max of 50C at load, no matter what the ambient temperature of my office was. There was no gain in performance and the overclock stayed where it was. The only issue I would have with 110C is that it would heat up the rest of my system, most importantly my CPU which is right above my video card and since heat rises, it wouldn't make me happy. My advice would to be buy an aftermarket fan/heatsink for this card and you will be pleasantly surprised.
Wow, I found this statement dumbfounding . I don't know what MP3 files you are talking about, how do you know you were entitled to make those copies legally?. I mean, these lawyers either prosecuting or defending in RIAA cases and they don't know what an MP3 is? This just goes to show you that the RIAA is throwing money at them to do whatever it takes to get these cases to court.
Go ahead and use them on me. Then I will sue and never ever have to work another day in my life because I will sue the government for billions. Taxes, what taxes. I will never pay taxes again either because I will make sure thats part of my lawsuit. If they want to test it, test it on themselves. I am sure that there are enough stupid army drones they are willing to put infront of a canon to "ensure american defense".
I don't know, I kinda dig the new Nano. I liked the colors, espically when a family has kids (or adults) with more than one nano in the house. It helps to seperate them. Also, you could always get the skins for the Nanos, but then the size got bigger. I would liked to have seen some bluetooth or wifi capabilities for transfering the music/video wirelessly, but guess not.
If there was device that you could carry with you in your pocket that blocked the cell phone signals, I would buy two of them. Nothing bothers me more than a person on their phone in a movie theatre. I make a young girl cry once when I chewed her out for talking on one during a movie once. I am not sure how much you pay for a movie where you live, but it costs me $20 for me and my wife to get in and that doens't include any food.
I applaud them for their efforts too. But I will be one of a few people that agree with you. Everyone here is a fanboy of something and its not usually Microsoft. Anything Microsoft does they will tear apart with their close-mindedness.
So what, playing a HD-DVD or BluRay will require more hardware requirements than Vista. They can eat me. I do not have a piddley little computer system at home and according to their requirements I won't be albe to run it. Sony can die along with their PS3 and BluRay!
I think Microsoft woudl benefit from this type of analysis too. I am a fan if IE and use IE only. I have never had a problem with it because I know how to surf the internet. Theres just things you do and don't do. Call me a creature of habit, but I just don't care for Firefox because it takes several seconds to launch (i know its petty, but oh well) and that everything is layed out differently. Not too differently, but different enough that I want IE back.
Same here. Windows XP crashes for me when I start to tinker with the registry or something like that. Hell, I crashed Ubuntu 6.06 by tinkering it. Thankfully, that re-install was much faster than Windows. I think a Linux fanboy is the one that posted that article...
Technically, when I use a pencil to write on a piece of paper, I am using nanotechnology to write on that paper. I mean, carbon molecules that make up the 'lead' in my pencil can be measured with the term nano. And I highly doubt that the ancient egyptions knew that they were doing something that would do nothing more than get some scientist name in a book. Big whoop.
Tuesday evening, Intel lays off 10,000 employees. Wednesday 7:00am, AMD gains 10,000 new employees. And to the guy that said Intel will beat down AMD. Ya right. AMD has been gaining a lot of ground for years. They have acheived so much with so little. I have only bought AMD for the past seven years not because its AMD, but for price vs performance. I had to build three machines for a local business this week and I ended up going with AMD because of price. The performance is there, there is no doubt about it. But Intel cost more overall. Why pay more for the same performance. AMD isn't going anywhere and neither is Intel. Its called competition and its what drives the two companies forward instead of idleing and not making new products.
Well, for starters, its not 100% compatible with Slashdot and there is no right click for it. Useless if you ask me, but great for where I work. In my school district, this would save us so much time from teachers downloading crap they weren't supposed to, espically images. They have gigs and gigs of downloaded.gif images from the web stored on our servers.
I am sure it will be way out of my price range though. I would however settle for a nice 2 or 4 gb flash drive. My 1gb flash drive is filling up all the time.
The only reason I can see for it happening was because all the paladins out there cried loud enough because their character sucked compared to shamans. So Blizzard decided to give the Alliance the shaman class. But to make it fair, they wanted to give the horde a class too. They gave us Paladins. Was this really giving us a class? No. I doubt there will be many Horde Paladins out there but there will be a hell of a lot of Alliance Shamans because Shamans are a viable class that is fun to play. Palies are only good for their Aura and Devine Intervention in the high lvl raids. PS...NERF HUNTERS!!!
The weird thing is that my Mom put a refridgerator magnet on their computer and not only did it mess with the function of the computer (random crashes, errors all over the place) it also caused the system to crash after about 2 days. It wasn't a large magnet either. I had to go out and reformat their computer. And no, it wasn't a virus or anything, they only had User rights. I took admin rights from them after about the fifth time I had to go out there and rebuild their system.
A magnetic power cable. Did Apple's IQ drop like 5 points or something. Who puts a magnet near a computer? I can also see so many people not knowing the magnet popped off and running their battery down since the majority of mac users I know never turn their machine, only putting it into sleep mode. Personally, I think its a stupid idea. And the Angel/Devil ad, it was just stupid too. Those ads only depict the people that use their 15 year old Packard-Bell computer that use AOL still.
Bout time this happens. I have had Napster Audio for a long time now that I want to convert to MP3 so I can play on my old Diamond Rio 300.
PS, if you ever want to convert some iTunes music files into MP3 (which is not allowed by the software) use a program called JHymn. It will convert the audio on the fly from M4P -> WAV -> MP3. Great stuff!
If you want to teach evolutionaly biology in schools, then teach intelligent design too. I don't believe that we evolved form primitave organisms over millions/billions of years. Not at all. But it was forced down my throat in high school. Teach both perspectives.

Thats fine, it can only paly in x64 mode. But make sure that software and drivers are available for 64-bit Vista. I have an AMD64 chip and tried Vista Beta2. It sucked in 64bit mode. Only half of my drivers were supported for 64bit and it just ran bad. I put in the 32bit version and it ran much much smoother. Is this a problem with AMD64 processors, no. 64bit linux runs just fine. If they want anyone to use the 64 bit vista, they better start working on getting it working as well as 32bit vista does.
Exactly my thought. Let them go out and work for a summer or two and buy their own 1982 Honda Civic that barely runs. The car will be a piece of crap, but it will be theirs. If they want to speed, fine. They can pay their tickets. And after enough tickets, their insurance will kick them and no more car for them. Then lets see them speed on their old BMX. I work at a high school and its shocking the cars these kids drive. Brand new Chevy Silverados, Mustang GTs, Integras with a lot of expensive mods on them. No wonder kids don't appreciate what they have. A mere 6 years ago when I was in high school, there were only a few cars like this at my high school. And we all knew them because they were the rich kids. But I see people who definitely don't fit in that catagory driving these nice cars and trucks. My first vehicle was a 1983 Chevy Silverado with over a hundred thousand miles. It ran decently and its paint job wasn't the worst. But it was mine and I loved it. Kids now days would rather sell their one or two year old vehicle for a new model or have their parents do it and give them a new car. They don't know the value of what they have.
This came from Ireland. Either the people reporting about it are drunk or the person claiming to have invented it is drunk himself and has no idea what they are talking about. Ireland == Alcohol. Ireland/= Science.
Thats a good point. I have a four month old baby right now and when school starts, she will have one of those phones that only call two or three numbers. A few posts down, people talk about predefined spots to meet if you get lost. Thats great if you are in the same spot, but what if you aren't. What if you are a small child and see a lost puppy and try to catch it or find its home and end up getting lost yourself. Or, on the darker side of things, what if you witness a kidnapping at school or something. Those phones have the default 911 button. It just might save someone's life. But to give an 8 year old a RAZR or something to be cool or because he/she thinks they need one. Piss off. Kids dont' need a fully functional cell phone until they can afford one for themselves (i.e. Prepaid phones), and that means they need to get a job first.

So, does the $30 million go to the 'starving' artists or will the RIAA soak up the money?

This 'black box' won't be transmitting all the time. If an accident occurs, law inforcement or your insurance company can inspect the data.
