I also use startpage.com for these types of queries. Seems to be the best option out there (or at least the best i have found), and like AC said that fact that they don't track you is refreshing.
I have found they exact opposite to be true when talking to people. Those between 18-30 mostly deeply disapprove of government spying, while the 30-45 demographic seem to split on the issue and the most of the people above 45 all seem to say that they aren't doing anything wrong so they have nothing to hide.
If I was a billionaire, I would kick him a few mil. Its fun to have someone stand up to these turkeys. He did appear to be winning and putting egg on the face of the americans for a while there.
We must remember that the USA tried to pluck a citizen from another country by strong arming their justice department. As a non US citizen, fuck all that shit. US law isnt world law and god forbid that ever becomes so. It is so enough already as it is!
If you were a billionaire you would probability be in the same country club as those turkeys and have a vested interest in the mater.
No he thought that the US would follow the legal process they agreed to when negotiating an extradition treaty with New Zealand.
What he didnt see coming was getting raided with what was basically a small army (with air support) and then having his money sized and not returned for following the process as set forth in the US/NZ extradition treaty.
More and more of the new appliances these day (especially air conditioners) are able to be remotely controlled / throttled by the utility to prevent overloads. By the time these new smart systems become deployed on a large scale i expect most appliances will have this ability.

Just recently bought a pack of CDs so I could burn the newest version of Zenwalk Linux. The CDs them self cost 19.99 but after the copyright tax and others taxes it cost over $30. I'm not using these CDs to play downloaded music or put other copyrighted files on them, I have an MP3 player for that, which also has a copyright tax on it.
Is it just me or have there been a lot of stories about "cyber wars", "cyber-attack"... lately (especially on slashdot). Is this going to become the next big thing, "The War on Cyber-Warfare" with new laws contently coming in place to help protect everyone from evil "hacker" teenagers bent on destroying the world, which no doubt will take away even more of the dwindling freedoms the american people still have left?
From a technical stand point blu-ray is slightly better then HD-DVD, however HD-DVD's are region free. Either way i wont be buying any discs using either of the new formats any time soon. For me DVDs are good enough and i rip all everything to my had drive anyways.
The best way to teach a kid to type is a IM Client. Seriously, i have seen it work for a lot of kids and some of these kids have learning disabilities (like ADD).
Your not the only one i to switched away from Slackware on my desktop, but i didn't stray far. I now run (Slackware based)Zenwalk Linux (formerly Minislack) with Zeqadious's lightweight gnome packages.
Even with Slackware no longer on hiatus i have stuck with Zenwalk because of its package management (dependency resolution), active development team and lightweight no boat design philosophy.
However i do still run Slackware 10.1 and 11 on my two test servers, and will most likely keep using it as my server distro for years to come.
Keep up the good work Patrick, you make one of the best Linux distributions around (IMO).
If all you require is a messenger client that accesses the.NET Messenger Service (Windows Live Messenger) then give aMSN Messenger a try. aMSN has most of the features of WLM (including web cam support), a vary active development team and isn't extremely bloated like lots of IM clients.

Bitcoin mining on GPUs may no longer be cost effective, but altcoin mining on GPUs is still alive and well.
I don't think that anyone willing to have a windows phone is part of the target demographic for this device.
Sure they can, you agree to an agreement when using facebook. They can do almost anything they want with the data they collect.
Exactly my first thought as well. Plus the government can steal your BTC next time the do a bail in and raid everyone's bank accounts.

They already do stuff worse then this, its called Parallel Construction. Its standard operating procedure.

Rumble has been stripped from the Dual Shock 3 well if it doesnt rumble any more why the hell would they call it "Dual Shock" :S
"rapidly improving technologies".... IE hasnt had a real update in years... only now its IE 7 in the beta stage.
but then the carrier would have to over charge you even more to make up for the money your saving.
