Maybe it's just me, but I read the argument as being fairly consistent i.e.:-
The product is still in beta.
Indicitive of the product being in beta, the following issues arise:-:-
Managing a mailing list isn't trivial. Trying to send legitimate attachments with executable files is damn near impossible. Even ZIP files are a chore.
When will these issues be fixed, who knows?
When they are Gmail will probably no longer be a beta.
In my opinion, as a simple web mail system Gmail is fine, no better, no worse than most on the market.
I feel the unmasking of the fake results posted by Woo Suk Hwang could be a blessing for science, and one of the years highlights. It could be portrayed as why science works, although the community requires a basis of trust, eventually frauds will be revealed, hopefully creating more trust in the system.
What science requires are better media relations to portray this way of viewing the discipline.
I always thought that people got upset was purely the paranoia invoked when science/machine encroaches on something that has been looked upon as being a purely human habitat.
However, in this case I have no idea what Undaar is complaining about. The science is using a famous piece of art soley for demonstrating how it works (though of course the publicity that comes from using a famous piece of art is nice as well)
They surely can't be there purely to tell me I'm wrong when I say that, for instance, every single Jackson Pollock can be quantified as being a piece of crap, designed purely so that he could laugh in the face of the art critics that love it.

I initially thought that the reason why the ladies have such overinflated love cushions were to differentiate them from other mass of polygons, the idea that all game developers were under sexed males completely escaped me.
I'm still waiting for the game where the idea is to help a rather blessed big breasted lady walk down the street via the use of the mouse to help her from toppling over.
I'm pretty sure that a six-stage nuclear device capable of a multi-gigaton blast is a serious threat to anything and everything.
And I'm pretty sure an arsenal of anti-particles would be a fairly serious threat to a siz-stage nuclear device.
I'm also pretty sure an energy shield an order of magntitude greater than the device would help dissipate any explosion
Indeed I'm fairly sure a device to change the direction of said six-stage nuclear device capable of a multi-gigaton blast would render the weapon fairly useless.
In fact I'm pretty sure that there a myriad of ways of making any weapons we have as deadly a small white tissue.
. . . Holy shit, you've managed to describe every single prerelease bit of hype that has ever been associated with any console EVAR!
With regards to gaming, the problem tends to be associated with the means of control. Innovation is hard due to the relative maturity of the market, most game types that work or can work with the standard controls have largely been explored (especially wrt the mass market).
This is why I feel Nintendo have done something very interesting. Games have needed a new means of control (that can be called a standard) in order to produce new types of experiences, it will allow designers to rethink how games should work, and so produce differing games than the norm now. Of course in time the market will consolodate back to the few game types that both work and have large appeal.
. . . I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as you've bought an Intel processor, your machine should be powerful enough to surf and browse the internets, even at this 3G level. In fact, with the power of "Intel Inside", the required page should load before you even knew you wanted it.
. . . about the most info I can find so far comes from their press release
BGAN is an IP and circuit-switched service that will offer voice telephony and a sophisticated range of high-bandwidth services, including internet access, videoconferencing, LAN and other data services, at speeds up to half a megabit per second.
Of course this means jack-shit in real world practicalities, and don't forget it doesn't mention those wonderful ping times.
So all in all, a fairly useless piece of info, but hey, at least we know that these satellites are
60 times more powerful and have 20 times more capacity than their predecessors, the Inmarsat-3 satellites.
. . . we're also not afraid to be conformist either. We tend to apply the strict doctrine of 'best tool for the job', hence why there tends to be a rather diverse population of computers in any 'decent' lab. Theoretical "elegance" and "beauty" means fuck all if it doesn't get the job done any quicker or more accurately.
. . . personally, I don't see the point of having to carry a screen, when I can carry a pair of goggles to view my applications with, and a pair of gloves (or smaller attatchments to my hands) to type on my virtual keyboard, and manipulate the programs with.
Simply put, I hope companies begin to innovate rather more than simply changing the dimensions of the screen I need to view with. I mean the things meant to be portable, not inexcusably large.
. . . can you please point out some sites that routinely reject Linux users?
It was once useful to make sites think that you were visiting using a different browser other than IE, but, for the vast majority of web sites, those days are long gone. I have never, on the other hand, had to pretend to be using another OS to visit a site, never.
I would be greatly intrigued if you could give some examples that require you to be identified as using Windows.

Indeed, instead of holding the paper flat, I shall now use the double sided version of electronic paper and construct a moebius strip to read my information.

Absolutley rubbish, everything can be quantified.
What else are art critics for?
They surely can't be there purely to tell me I'm wrong when I say that, for instance, every single Jackson Pollock can be quantified as being a piece of crap, designed purely so that he could laugh in the face of the art critics that love it.
So what were you using previously?
I'm on the look out for a good PDA phone and need some recommendations.
The cloning has not been proven 'fake' yet. I think it is only some of the 'morality' of the experiment that could be called into question so far.
Personally I see no real moral problems with stem cell research, but then I am a complete amoral bastard.
They should have made Kazaa ownership much like their softwares ideology, P2P.
I'd like to see Australia try to jail that many people.

If Windows is such a success, why is it so buggy?
Large, complex pieces of software, generally have bugs, becuase they are large and complex.
I'm guessing for the same reason that bat's with big brains have small balls.
I am of course willing to do some experimentation to help prove the theory.
I initially thought that the reason why the ladies have such overinflated love cushions were to differentiate them from other mass of polygons, the idea that all game developers were under sexed males completely escaped me.

Why not just let the podcast be distributed, and announce the name of your website at various intervals?
Not only will this allow the wider distribution of your ramblings, but also help save on bandwidth.
Everybody will be safe and secure, except of course for every single business in the known world?

I believe this strategy is the current one being offered to Microsoft employees rather than stock options.
Needless to say the staff immediately plumped for the 360 and opted to sell short the Microsoft stock.

So are there any safeguards built in to prevent the holding company from charging for the licences in the future?
One certainly hopes so.

I can rest easy now.
In fact, Leka explains, the system is smart enough to identify copyrighted music that has been uploaded by users into the system.
Err, how exactly?
Does it listen out for generic beats, mixed with generic vocalizations of generic lyrics, flavoured out by massive over production?
