I read somewhere (thought it was in a TheRegister article but cant find it) that the citizens (inmates) would be responsible for any errors in the database but that we wouldn't have access to it ourselves. I'm not sure exactly how that would work but it makes as much sense as the rest of this ID card stuff.
They just recently signed a Cybercrime treaty http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/08/04/22 43249 that would allow the US access to it if it was internet related and i'd bet other treaties exist already for other crimes.
They've said all along they would 'sell' limited access to the database to companies. It wont take the RIAssA long to use this to sue non-US citizens.
Still, it might be good to find out where Tony BLiar gets his "Dubya's lickable ass doll" from.
They never elected him.. compromised Diebold voting machines did.
Besides.. if enough of the media says "dubya is not a murdering terrorist" often enough, the prozac addicted sheep will start to believe it. They'll believe anything.
I would imagine 3 monitor Quake4 or other FPS games would be good. I remember reading an article where an older version of Doom or Quake would support this.
Those with SLI/Crossfire/(Matrox tri monitor) support should be able to handle it on a single PC.
270 degrees of view would be a great advantage in those sort of games.
I believe FlightSim works quite well in multi-monitor with controls/gauges on one and the 3d environment/world on the other.
How much does it actually cost to buy politicians?
If enough people donated small amounts of money. Could we not buy politicians just as the big software/media companies do?

You forgot that posting favourable reviews of a game (the intro movie, screenshots & some photocopied specs/notes/advertising) gets them the next game beta a few weeks early. And whichever magazine, website or tv show has the first review of the next big game will get more sales/viewers.
The only way to find out if a game is any good is to try it for yourself. If they dont release a proper demo, download it for a few days and try it. If you're still playing it after 2 days, buy it. If not, delete it.
But you did not legally have the right to copy it or loan it to a friend (i think their EULA goes that far nowadays) so you are responsible.
Just as Sony is legally responsible for the damage caused because of their rootkit....
Oh hang on, this settlement just about says they did nothing wrong... i'm confused.. how is this a pubishment? (especially as it'll probably be old albums nobody wants. I wonder if they have the 3 tenors.)
Why doesn't the legal system just stop filing lawsuits against companies. Its just wasting everyones time. Save people money, blow the budget on a party.
After that it wont matter. We'll be forced into using DRM locked hardware, operating systems and portable devices. Standard DRM will be fine. Even discussing non-DRMd music will probably be illegal.
Wasnt Stephen Hawking supposed to be the next one..
Then Stephen Hawking asaid it was probably going to be Ed Witten.
They should give up and concentrate on reanimating the actual Einstein.
My guess is it'll be whoever first proves general relativity is complete rubbish and quantum mechanics only works near earth because the flying spagetti monster changed our subspace.
Where is the mention of seriousness of the flaws? How many allow root access or something else serious/critical instead of "clicking this button makes the tool tab disappear" or something.
They also fail to mention that a lot of these flaws are not in the OS itself (or essential components) but in 3rd party software.
A lot of the software isnt even included in a standard installation.
I'm not sure what you'd call it but it comes out of Dubya's ass.

That kind of talk gets you labelled un-american or a terrorist.
Maybe someone will write software to use Text Mining http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/08/02/221227 to find spam.

Especially when you'd probably save about $32 in electricity costs from running the AMD over the Intel for 3 months.
