This is all wrong. If we factor in all the unborn embyros out there, as President Bush has demanded we do, then the U.S. population is much closer to 1 billion, no?
"Today, the buzz has moved elsewhere. Slashdot's editor-driven story selection model is being supplanted by user-generated systems such as Digg. According to recent Alexa data, Digg already has more daily reach and generates more page views than Slashdot. Malda knows his subject, and he's a good editor, but in the end, he's just no match for the power of the multitudes."
Wait, you mean 'multitudes' like the dozen or so Diggers who have hijacked the system and are responsible for 100% of the front page content?
I'd also suggest a site called Gather.com. Right now it is just images and articles that are submitted by the members, but eventually the site's designers (one, a former Lotus exec) plan to introduce video content. It uses a ratings/comment system that is entirely driven by the users and best yet, a points system that translates into cash or deals at participating businesses./plug
I'd try and make a pithy, Slashdot-worthy sarcastic comment, but my ISP doesn't allow that unless I upgrade to the Crusty Cynic Power User Package for an additional $9.95 a month.
I have a roommate who went back to WoW a week after plunking down more than $600 for a 360 and 3 games. Maybe Mr. Lin was talking about 1 million units total.

When I'm driving my GoogleCar into my GoogleGarage after a long drive along the GoogleTurnpike, guided by my GoogleGPS to have dinner prepared by my Froogle-provided Russian mail order bride, then we'll talk.
"Supposedly, the system will do in 1 hour what used to take 400 hours, but I'd stay skeptical of such a claim until there is a peer-reviewed paper out."
Me neither. It's much simpler: Sony's (games division) problem is its executives.

But it does have tilt functionality... hmm, yes, I can see that. It's tilting...tilting.. tilting allllll the way into obscurity.
Even better, how about a link? PS3 to cure Alzheimer's?
Do I have Alzheimer's, or did I read about this last month?
Lets give this guy a hand.
Low score ... hmmmm... The force was not strong with this comment.
from the dead link, this is probably not going to be one of Next Generation's "Ten Best days" for bandwidth

Who knew that the "wonder" in Wonder Bread was actually referring to the 8th Wonder of the World!?

Do you know what you Mac is doing right now???
No, I don't think Apple will be giving out any Mario mustache rides anytime soon.

... what was it that I hooked up with after a particularly drunken in college a few years back?

I'll keep my eyes peeled.
Building off of that, I've heard the adult entertainment industry has already secured rights for their version of the game, called Sperm.
How is this comment flamebait? With all of the information (not) available today, this simple comment rings more like fact than fiction

is this the final nail in the coffin of the PSP, or did I miss that press release?
Sounds like the author got caught purchasing Mariah Carey's Greatest Hits and an NSYNC compilation and just wanted to save some face.
