Of course this all depends on the conditions of the road. For example, two nights ago it had rained a lot and I was in the middle lane of a 3 lane road. The middle lane contained numerous sewer plates etc and it's basically a lot of smoooth metal surface. I forgot about that and when the light turned yellow I hit the brakes.

I started to skid and made the decision to go thru the upcoming red light because I prefered to run the light rather than being wrapped around a light pole.

Had the cop that was sitting at the next intersection, within eyesight, attempted to give me a ticket I'd ask him if he would rather give me a ticket or be calling for an ambulance at this moment.

See it all depends on the whole situation. It's one of the reasons I don't like the photo sensors.

Before seeing it I did not hear much about the film except some mention about it on here. When I went to the theather there were a lot of kids there. Sure you saw the mom's explaining certain words situations etc, but that was fine.

It is a great movie and like most anime's it has adults mainly as the target audience, however it is a really nice movie where even the kids can sit down an like it. My hope is that it can get released more widely so the rest of the population can see it.

I do know however that a lot of people do not like reading subtitles. Which is a big drawback because watching the movie in it's original Japanese language is what helps this movie even more.

That's why I loved this movie. It went against everything that Disney stands for. Most of their movies the main characters are rich, and considered by society to be beautiful. Stupid conformist crap. Shrek showed that you don't have to conform and you don't have to live up to other people's view of what beautiful is.

Actually my company had this idea a year and a half ago. We talked with American Express to team up with them about it. The idea was excellent and in fact we had the basic concept mapped out. Problem with it was we had no funding and resources to do this.

The president and I sat down and worked out the simple logic for it and basically we really don't care what each individual was buying. Our software would determine that and we'd get trends etc, but no one person would ever know what an individual would buy. Unless you specifically asked to see that person's buying habbits.

That is correct. The benefit of having Congress declare war means that they will work the budget to get you the resources to actually FIGHT the war.

Untill such resources are granted, everyone needs to stay in their budgeted amount of money. It's been quite some time since congress HAS declared war. They're very selective what they call wars. If we waited on them to declare war before the president does anything then a LOT of what has happened the past, eg Gulf War, would not have happened.

Ok so they lose and it somehow is now illegal to skip commercials. They need to define that. Why? Because I'm still gonna get up and go to the bathroom, answer the phone or do whatever I want.

Why? Because you can't control people. Technically they're breaking their own little "law". If you wanna be extreme about it that is. Good thing I just watch anime most of the time. I'll gladly pay for dvd's of that rather than deal w/ the crap they're spewing out.

Just to let you know if you have Directv then this is sorta the case now. I'm watching ads on the tv and whenever AT&T comes on it asks me to interact w/ it. I'm using the Phillips receiver which has the interaction stuff.

It pops up on the Discovery Channel, several ads and on the Showtime network.

So this is already in place. Yeah there is probably some way to turn it off. Or I can just hit exit and it will go away. It's usefully because there are certain times where the interact button comes in helpful so I don't wanna disable it.

It's really interesting what has been able to happen and *IF* NDS is responsible for this and the death, the big question is WHY? Why risk everything? I guess they're going on the Risk it all and reap the biggest rewards.

And the part in the story saying that piracy helps their business and it's now just coming back to haunt them has me very intrigued. We always hear the RIAA complaining about these P2P services when an album comes out waaay before its supposed to be released.

Come on now, think about it, if you kept better tabs on what you're doing then this won't happen. But it always begs the question in light of this article, is there some truth to this rumour and will we see it come out in this court battle?

If it does come out, I wonder what this will mean for the other companies that do this.

Businesses like easy things, I used to be the one all gung ho about command line stuff, but lately after being exposed to so many of our clients, they want everything simple. The KISS approach applies here. Yes, they may not know what they're doing and you want to keep the "idiots" from the software, however that elitist attitude will not work when trying to convince others to use the software.

Evolution is one of the few things out there that could draw attention of the corporate eyes to using Linux as a desktop. The features that it has are really nice and comprable to those found in Outlook.

What will make it even better is the ability to import my mail from Outlook Express and handle about 10000 emails in a folder.

When it supports shared calenders then it will be great. Want to know why that feature is important? Well simply because the office manager can enter everyone's schedule into it and then everyone else can look at it to see where they're supposed to be, or if someone is gonna be going on vacation.

But all in all, it's a great program and I reall hope it keeps on improving. Now if only they got on of the MTA's to mimic the functionality of Exchange, as one easy to use package, then THAT would be awesome! I'd be able to convince my company to switch in no time.
