So basically you have to stand on one leg, be male, wearing a pink tu tu, live in niger with exactly 3 children who happen to be eating pizza during a lunar eclipse for this to happen?
Actually, it only limits to 32GB if you have booted from a windows XP cd and try to format during the XP install. If you use an older win98 boot disc and tell setup to leave the file system in tact (no changes) you can format as large as you want. Fat32 does have a ~4GB file size limit so chances are if you have a drive larger than 32GB there is going to be a 4GB+ file there somewhere.
It seems that some people just dont get it. They are the ones that throw a fit about coal and other "dirty" power generators but when we come up with a solution that is more enviromentally friendly they find something with it to complain about.
They need to realise that there is no such thing (at least for now) as the perfect renewable energy source, they all have their downsides. From solar being inefficient to nuclear having the issue with waste to coal producing harmful smoke.
They really need to be focused on what these alternative energy sources do to HELP rather than their smaller downsides when compared to other energy sources
I've noticed that the return address on the newer netflix envelopes now reads "Nearest Netflix Shipping Facility" and then has a PO box located in my very small rural town. It makes you wonder if they dont scan the barcodes in different locations and then once that nearby local has marked it as received your next disc is sent. There has to be something to the way they get movies to me so quickly when I live so far from a major city.
Actually, you arent guranteed anything with most isp's. They may advertise UP to XXmbps but if you read your TOS closely you will see that they dont have to provide any minimum. Also, they dont state that they allow any amount of traffic so they can throttle whenever they feel like it.
Just because you want to throw around the I download 500 linux iso's a month card doesnt mean thats what you are actually doing with it. I consider myself to be a big online gamer and downloader and I never use over 80 GB per month. Anyone who does is very likely using it for things other than was intended. I'm glad when they put restrictions like this, now maybe I can get a decent ping since you arent downloading Hentai Anal Toon sluts vol 1-37 all at the same time...
I'm all for competition, but this is ridiculous. Did they not learn from Sony's mistake that there is no beating nintendo when it comes to portable gaming. I realise that it is also going to be an "ipod killer" or so they wish but that makes things even worse since devices that are marketed as a swiss army knife fail because people see them as a jack of all trades but master of none.
Not to mention their track record of faulty devices...... Dying Xblock hdd, xblock that ate discs, overheating power supplies etc etc
Oh are you talking about Pure Video? You mean the same Pure Video that took 8 months to actually "work" after it was advertised as being a key feature? Surely you cant be talking about this

Not to take up for symantec, but they do offere a free utility for removing all traces of their software. They have one for each piece of software as far as I know.
I would like to know how many people will actually buy and KEEP their new HD-DVD players once they realise that they will also require a new TV, not only that but a TV that supports their copy protection scheme. Especially when they realise that the only reason for the new TV is so extortion-wood won't lose any POTENTIAL revenue due to those "bad people" copying movies.
My guess is it will go over like DVD Audio did. All but the most discerning customers will say to hell with it since what they have is cheap and works just as well (as far as joe user is concerned)
But the thing is you are SUPPOSED to be getting those DVD's from other regions to being with. Thats why they made the ridiculous lock system. I'm not saying I agree with the practice, only mentioning that this is how it is supposed to be
Actually, it seems they were different after FF7, FF8 just seemed overly simple in some areas while being way overcomplex in others. Finding your way around was a chore and the weapon systems sucked ass. Not to mention the hassle of sucking spells for hours out of enemies, just to run out 5 minutes later...
I am a LONG time fan of square, from back in the days of the original nes final fantasy games up though the "Secret of XXXXXXX" games and even up to FF7, but recently they have been pissing off a lot of long time fans such as myself by implementing dumb ideas like this. It seems that they are running out of ideas. Crystal Chronicals when compared to such gems as Chrono Trigger looks like they arent even trying anymore. There is no more story, there is no more feeling for the characters, there is no more fun. Just empty shells of what could have been really great games.
I dont want to see them fail by any means, but I refuse to buy into these half assed attempts they have been making.
Why sit here whining about it? Tell them how you feel, I did. Im sure a couple emails wont make a differnce, but with the combined effort of the/. community they will listen. Especially when you tell them like I did, that their bottom line will suffer since you now refuse to purchase ANY of their products again.

The reason people buy a console as oppsed to being a PC gamer is for the turnkey solution to gaming. They are the people who dont want to design and build a PC or even make sure they have the latest patches and updated drivers for a pre-built one. They want to turn it on, sit down and play. Now most of you would say "any idiot would know that a piece of equipment like this needs proper ventilation." I agree with this myself, but the demographic that consoles are marketed towards contain lots of the type of people who just want it to work without any hassles.
Microsoft should have thought in advance that people were going to sit in on the floor, put it in cabinets, stack junk on it etc. They should have a bright yellow flashing sticker that warns against the cabinet idea, but when they overheat sitting on carpet? Thats just poor design plain and simple.
I wonder how well this really works. For example, babel fish has trouble with the translation of some text which is for the most part exact information. But throw in audio and try to translate it? I think we have quite a way to go in order to make this a viable product. But then again, I could be wrong
I applaud nintendo for being able to pull this off. In an era where console companies are losing money left and right, they are consistantly able to post a profit. I think much of this stems from innovation of their products. Even if they sometimes fail (gb printer, virtual boy, power glove) the times they hit it, and when they do they hit it big. If you remember, they are the ones who pioneered the handheld controller as an alternative to the joy stick. They also pioneered shoulder trigger buttons, analog sticks, rumble feature, OEM wireless, and are now giving a stab at a gyro based contol system.
You can call them childish or for kids all you like, but there are few people who can say they dont truely enjoy the vast majority of what nintedo has created.
Mod me troll if you want, but does anyone else see this as a HUGE waste of time and resources? With so many other things in the world that need time and money devoted to them we choose something as trivial as making colored bubbles?

Hands down, it's the best Oblivion glitch to date."
:)
Like you could ever know that, especially when there are so many to choose from
Disclaimer: Even with all of the bugs its still a great game
Actually it was cut down to Powermac Imac Server Ibook Powerbook

They may have been outsold, but Nintendo made money. Thats more than I can say for the "other two"

I just patented the idea of a patent
>>There aren't many big players in the hard disk market. >>I'm not that enthusisatic about loosing one of them. When I LOOSE things
>>>Every company that tried to make a $700 console (namely, 3DO) died a slow and painful death. Actually, they died a fairly quick and painful death.

This is probably the worst idea ever

Like anyone could ever know that...
And honestly, why wouldnt they? Its worked for them in the past. Maybe this time they have found someone that they cant copy and kill quite so easily
