  1. Re:I love it! on Government Accuses Sprint of Overcharging For Wiretapping Expenses · · Score: 1

Yeah but in this case the crooks are not footing the bill, it's us taxpayers. :( Can't believe we pay to let those creeps spy on us.

  2. That's cool! on "The Fat Man" George Sanger Answers Your Questions About Music and Games · · Score: 2

Thanks for taking the time to read our questions! I enjoyed reading your answers, and enjoyed your game soundtracks!

  3. "hardware will be free" on Free (Gratis) Version of Windows Could Be a Reality Soon · · Score: 1

I remember him saying that it was the hardware that would be free...

  4. Culture is not something set in stone on Quebec Language Police Target Store Owner's Facebook Page · · Score: 1

If Quebec is protecting its heritage, why don't they require everything to be in a language Native Americans understand? Because culture is a constantly evolving thing, and you can't just mandate or regulate it. Quebec needs to realize this. They sound like facists.

  5. "Language Police"? on Quebec Language Police Target Store Owner's Facebook Page · · Score: 1

Sounds like something crazy out of North Korea! Does anywhere else in the world have something similar to this?

  6. Easy to get on Microsoft Circles the Wagons To Defeat ODF In the UK · · Score: 1

will cause problems for citizens and businesses who use office suites which don't support ODF

It's pretty simple to get one... For businesses, wouldn't MS want people to update Office to a version that supports ODF? Means more money for MS when businesses do that.

  7. The Game on Ask "The Fat Man" George Sanger About Music and Computer Games · · Score: 1

I still remember listening to this song on the "The Fat Man" sampler that came with The 7th Guest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4m5SDmVNo-I

  8. Re:Makes sense on EA's Dungeon Keeper Ratings Below a 5 Go To Email Black Hole · · Score: 1

    Precisely, thanks.

  9. Re:Makes sense on EA's Dungeon Keeper Ratings Below a 5 Go To Email Black Hole · · Score: 1

No, this is from game ratings that are made within the game, not game ratings made on the app store. Ratings made on the app store get posted directly, ratings made within the game get emailed. Otherwise, don't you think there would be *no* 1 star ratings on the app store? They're there, go take a look!

  10. Makes sense on EA's Dungeon Keeper Ratings Below a 5 Go To Email Black Hole · · Score: 0

They don't have any obligation to post reviews that were emailed to them. Of course they're going to filter them and put up the ones that are preferred. If you want your comment to show up, rate it through the Google Play store, not by emailing EA.

  11. Re:The pressure of real identity on Facebook Estimates Around 10% of Accounts Are Fake · · Score: 1

I don't even understand what he means by "the pressure of real identity", this just sounds like a statement designed to manipulate.

  12. Re:Not mine on Facebook Estimates Around 10% of Accounts Are Fake · · Score: 1

I at least make my fake account sound plausible.

  13. Re:fake data on Through a Face Scanner Darkly · · Score: 1

  14. I use it on my HTPC on Ask Slashdot: Are Linux Desktop Users More Pragmatic Now Or Is It Inertia? · · Score: 1

I use it on my HTPC, and have got used to it. It's really not much different than OS X. I don't get the complaints, although I prefer the Gnome2 launcher compared to the weird search thing Unity has going on, but I can pin the apps I use most so it's not too bad.

  15. Cybernetics? on In an Age of Cyber War, Where Are the Cyber Weapons? · · Score: 1

In a cyber war, where are all the cybernetics? What even makes it "cyber"?

  16. Thank you on The Scent Rhythm Watch Tells Time By Releasing Fragrances · · Score: 1

Ah yes, skip the blog spam and go directly to the actual spam, brilliant. How about I just skip this story.

  17. Cheating in schools too on Half of US Nuclear Missile Wing Implicated In Cheating · · Score: 1

With all of the organized cheating that happens in american schools too (and to move up the ranks in out businesses), I'm not surprised. Cheating is as american as apple pie.

  18. Rosegarden on Ask Slashdot: An Open Source PC Music Studio? · · Score: 1

If you're into this type of stuff, please check out Rosegarden, it's an incredible suite similar to GarageBand but more feature filled and mature IMHO.

  19. Er, Pokemon? on How Can Nintendo Recover? · · Score: 4, Insightful

Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Excite Truck, Mario, Kid Icarus, Dr. Luigi, etc are not Japan-themed, and the only series that looks like anime is Fire Emblem and Pokemon, but the market seems to love those, especially Pokemon, and it has an actual anime attached to it! I think your theory is more than a little off.

  20. Trying to turn Christians against the gov't? on Senator Dianne Feinstein: NSA Metadata Program Here To Stay · · Score: 1

Is she trying to turn Christians against the government? Because that sounds exactly like what she's going to end up doing with this statement!

  24. It doesn't have to be true, just marketable. on Canada Quietly Offering Sanctuary To Data From the US · · Score: 1

It doesn't have to be true, just marketable. This is about winning customers. Ruin the marketability of that statement and you ruin their stupid attempt at a false sense of security and then maybe we can move on to an actual solution. If people have faith in this, it derails true security.

  25. What is the goal of this project?
