At no point did I think that you were a shill, paid or otherwise, but I also did not think those you accused of being shills neither. There was equal possibility of any of you being shills, pretty much none.
I just thought it was pretty much like calling someone an asshole, it hurts your arguments.
I was just pointing out that he could also be a shill, no way for us to know really.
Just because some un-informed AC's made posts regarding an old issue with the Xbox 360 that everyone knows about, somehow they are shills for making the comment.
Hell regarding the RROD's and a smaller form factor I had the same question. No shilling involved.
That's right, I'm a paid shill posting under my real account, which I use nearly every day on here. That's right, I'm a paid shill posting under my real account, which I use nearly every day on here.
Why not? It would make you a better shill. And yet you accuse some AC's with pitiful arguments of being shills.
A shill is a person who is paid to help another person or organization to sell goods or services. The shill pretends to have no association with the seller/group and gives onlookers the impression that he or she is an enthusiastic customer. The person or group that hires the shill is using crowd psychology, to encourage other onlookers or audience members (who are unaware of the set-up) to purchase said goods or services. Shills are often employed by confidence artists. The term plant is also used. The term is also used to describe a person who is paid to help a political party or other advocacy organization to gain adherents; as with the situation of selling goods or services, the shill gives the impression of being unrelated to the group in question, and gives the impression that he or she finds merit in the ideological claims of the political party.
Not all of us are up on the production cycles regarding the different versions of the Xbox 360 as such it is not an unusual question to ask about it's reliability.
I would suspect you of being a shill vs the parent considering your extremely informed post.
I doubt you can burn out a streetlight with one of these lasers, maybe if the bulb was exposed but its not.
Either that or a sling shot or above if you don't mind them knowing it was purposely destroyed. And that would only be temporary until it gets replaced and then you'll have to shoot it again, etc etc.
The Atom-based servers target a few specific tasks performed by data centers. In the past, servers were largely used to solve a small number of complex data-based problems, says Feldman. But the internet changed this. In the internet-focused data center, the challenge is to handle millions of small tasks such as searching, mapping and viewing pages quickly, and to do this in a way that can handle unpredictable bursts of traffic.
Considering how many articles were linked I don't know if you rtfa'd or not.
The Core 2 uses a bit more than twice as much power, but if you have two Atoms you also need twice as many north-bridge chips and this pushes the power usage up to over what the Core 2 will consume.
This is from the wired article.
Just changing the CPU to a low power chip, though, isn't enough says SeaMicro. The trick lies in creating a new architecture that can pull all the chips together and manage their power requirements.
"If you just replace the chips in a traditional server with Atom processors, the power consumption actually goes up," says Feldman.
Integrating features such as storage, networking and server management into a single ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) helps manage power better, says the company. It has also virtualized the CPU input-output so those modules that would have otherwise occupied space on a board and consumed power don't anymore.
Why just yesterday I was looking at a tree and thinking "Hey, those creating solar panels could learn a lot about increasing the surface area of cheap solar panel arrays by copying trees."
I was hoping to see little tiny solar panels stuck all over it like leaves.
Yes, but its gravity on our side of the event horizon which should pull the event horizon towards the mass perhaps opening a window in the event horizon.
Lets say you are using a Microsoft operating system, why should Microsoft allow Google to put their own ad engine on your computer even if you want it and are willing to install it yourself?
It's because it is your computer not Microsoft's computer.
Could be something as nice as when we set up the Soviets natural gas pipeline to blow by providing them sabotaged parts. Something that we couldn't really fess up to at the time, but now we parade it as one of the covert successes of the cold war.
Any other company and I would make a comment about how unlikely it would be for the company to notice something as subtle as that, but this is Google they might just.
I'm glad Google has some AI going, but I sure hope it never achieves an artificial personality.
There are concrete structures that have lasted beyond 1000 years.
Okay, I'm in line for a debate. Now what?
Now tell him he is wrong, and why he is wrong.
Unfortunately they are all here playing chatroullette.
People from the future are dicks.
But what if you look like Peter Griffin?
It's the Metallica model.
When Load flopped they started sueing.

You got rust in my aluminum powder.
You got aluminum powder in my rust.
Yes, glass may not block much blue, but the bulb is behind a diffuser to help spread the light.
You should check out United Nuclear sometime.
You can buy Thermite, Lasers, Uranium, and all sorts of FUN stuff without a license.
You need black out curtains.
I doubt you can burn out a streetlight with one of these lasers, maybe if the bulb was exposed but its not.

They are going for mass IO not computing power.

Per the tfa their thinking was that you would hang it outside during the day.

There just might be a market for this.

I could be very wrong.
You have an interesting interpretation of my post.
Did I really have to explicitly state how it was accomplished?
Should I also have given a detailed explanation of Iran-contra while I was at?
Perhaps it's an issue with your system.
Just because it has issues on your system doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone else.
Bad analogy.
Lets say you are using a Microsoft operating system, why should Microsoft allow Google to put their own ad engine on your computer even if you want it and are willing to install it yourself?
It's because it is your computer not Microsoft's computer.
It's your Iphone not Apples.
