    I am no aerospace engineer, about as far from it as you can get, but I would think that wing = drag.

    Yes, some drag is needed for lift, but can you fit enough passengers in just a wing and then can you fit that wing on a runway?

    The vast majority will be found out quickly and easily, very few people have really good photoshop skills.

    So, what safeguards are they employing to make sure that the vast majority of abuse cases would be found out quickly and easily?

    Oddly enough that might not be the demographic they are aiming at, but I would think that would be the demographic more likely to buy one.

    Much like the OLPC, they may have been targeted at undeveloped nations, but I would bet more geeks bought them as toys than how many were deployed to undeveloped nations.

    Neither is Email or internet usage.

    I'm pretty sure the comment was for general usage, which is normally just Email and internet usage with some office apps thrown in. That is what a celeron with 2gigs of ram would be sufficient for.

    Yes, there are many many programs that are used in many fields that would not fit into the celeron with 2 gigs comment. I work in an office environment, we don't need massive processors, we don't need massive video cards, all we need is a low end processor with a good amount of ram.

    That is what I got from reading his comment, but apparently I am in the minority.

    Graphically intensive? I think that was his point, if you do not need a graphically intensive computer then a celeron with 2 gigs of ram will do you.

    He wasn't trolling, but you I'm not so sure of.

    Push against it with a laser to either send it into the atmosphere to burn up or out of orbit.

    At least that has been my suggestion. Seems the simplest.

    Not one that would be powerful enough to knock out existing satellites, but just enough to push around space junk.

    The military has been moving to precision instead of magnitude, I'm sure there are plenty of warheads that could be loaded on this.

    After all, the suitcase nuke is a real weapon. A nuke does not have to weigh tons to do tons of damage.

    If you cure 90% of those with HIV you have also reduced the possible spread of infection by 90%.

    Eventually that 10% may swell to pre-vaccine ( if this pans out ) levels, but it would take decades for HIV to get back up to the level of infection it is at today ( if this pans out ).

    They are making money hand over fist, they just claim to not make any profits when they are so that they won't have to pay people what they are owed.
