You just know that instead of 'nudging it off its current vector' we're going to change its course just enough to slam directly into earth.
It's like when you're at the grocery store, and you get out of the checkout line you've been in for 10 minutes to go to the 'faster' line, which then suddendly becomes the slow line.
Until we're more sure where this thing is going, I say we leave it alone.
Sony has now promised A LOT, and have promised it SOON. This 'possible delay' will probably be only the first of many.
As somewhat of a PS fanboy, I hope that they are able to pull it all together and release a good product in some reasonable amount of time... but I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
The best part is that anyone who gives the product legitimate positive feedback on a message board will now be met with a lot of skepticism. Even more than before, I mean.
Actually, one of the disks you speak of contains the two NES Zelda games, OoT, AND Majora's Mask. The other disk contains OoT and OoT: Master's Quest, or something like that, but the first disk actually does contain all four games.
"If people really think I'm completely talentless, and this is to journalists, they should at least rent one of my earlier movies, like Heart of America, which is a really, really good movie."
So which is it? The movies are getting "better and better" or people should go and see his earlier movies to judge him?
Plus, a bonus quote I found funny:
It's fashionable to hit on Uwe Boll, and this is what I don't get.
I don't think I would ever 'hit on' Uwe Boll, no matter HOW 'fashionable' it was. I guess I don't get it, either...
I want to see an ExoSquad movie! One that picks up where the series left off. They wrapped up one arc pretty well, but the last episode still left you hanging. Man it would be awesome. Sure it was a cartoon, but if you actually watch the entire series, it's damn good.
Yeah, X-Com was awesome. I bought it in a CD bundle (needless to say, quite a while after its original release) with Master of Orion, X-Com II, and Master of Magic. All great games (aside from X-Com II; how could the sequel be so bad???).
But they're worth mentioning again: Wing Commander, X-wing (didn't get TIE Fighter till much later, but it's great, too), the first WarCraft. Ah, memories...
This guy mentions (or at least implies) that his company's title doesn't take full advantage of the PS3 capabilities. My question is, how many launch titles do?
Note that I am not asking this rhetorically, just speaking from my own experience. I am only familiar with one console's launch titles (PS2), and I don't remember them being that spectacular. Take Dark Cloud (I think the first PS2 game I played): sure it was better than PSX graphics, but later titles for the system were much better (even DC2 looked better, and I hear Kingdom Hearts II is amazing).
The fired guy did have a good point about the fact that the PS3 seems somewhat nonexistant. I would consider myself a Sony fan (own bothPSX and PS2), but from everything I hear, it's sounding less and less likely that I'll be getting a PS3. Revolution it is, I guess...
He also forgot that by the time Duke Nukem Forever 3 is released, currency will be obsolete and humanity will have evolved to playing games using only the power of their huge brains rather than primitive external hardware.
Well, you would have been wasting your time any way. Just because I feel that IN THIS CASE the money was not justified does not make me 'anti-space exploration.' In fact I am just the opposite, but I still feel that this money could have been put to better use.
Sad how those of you most eager to defend "a system of acquiring knowledge based on empiricism, experimentation, and methodological naturalism" were able to take a single data point and extrapolate the erroneous conclusion that I am somehow anti-science or even anti-space exploration.
For the record, I am neither of these things, which you probably would even have picked up had you not been too eager to jump up on your high horses to finish reading my post.
I think the problem is that the 'sequels' we are getting are actually more of a mix between remakes and sequels (call them 'requels'). There's very little innovation, but there are enough changes to disappoint gamers who liked the original.
Let me give you an example: I am playing Wild ARMs: Alter Code F. I thoroughly enjoyed the original Wild ARMs, but this game changes a few 'minor' things, that I think take away from the game (no equipment? why, oh why do new RPGs hate letting you have equipment?). OK, this is kind of a bad example because this game actually IS a remake and not a sequel and in the case of remakes there's a fine line, because if you don't make any changes, there's no point in remaking the game, and any changes you do make will be appreciated by some, but not others.
Bottom line, either make sequels that are new enough to be interesting to appeal to those who want something new, or make sequels/remakes that are true to the original to appeal to those who LIKED the way it was.
Don't bother reading the article (not that most do). There's hardly any Xbox talk, and most of the rest of the stuff is freaking boring. This doesn't really belong in the Games section, IMO.
See reason number 3.

Where there's a will, there's a way...

Way to shoot yourself in the foot...

Nope, that's a different game. There is one that contains the two NES Zeldas, OoT, and Majora's Mask.
OTGH (on the gripping hand), I feel that we Moties have the best of both worlds.

Not even clOOOOOOOOse.

Thanks so much for the words of wisdom...
I read TFA before posting. All it did was make me mad at baseball, too...
Really, what is this going to teach us? You can argue for funding NASA/space travel based on 'spin-off,' but come on...
I didn't think anyone would take it seriously...
Scroll down to 'Mouse-House Tale Has More Holes Than Swiss Cheese.'
Sounds like the mouse probably didn't feel any pain...
Memory cards will cost $1200. ;)
I agree. In fact, I posted something similar, but you beat me to it. Damn!
