It amazes me that people can take one small piece of data and extrapolate so much from it. Incoming freshmen from one university. So what? If it really was news, it would be at all campuses around the US (or North America, or the world for that matter). Rage on MacBois
it always seems with companies that offer marginally useful services are always fighting to stop others from helping, rather than improve their product so that it becomes useful. if people would only realize that it's not that difficult to do their taxes, they wouldn't need intuit's software.
There are lots of alternates to Cable Internet...Well 2 here in Canada for the average joe consumer:
Radio and DSL
or perhaps that should be DSL and radio
What is interesting is that rogers sells the cable TV as well (clearly) and so they able to punish their competitiro. Interesting.
I am looking forward to netflix coming to Canada. I'll definitely be losing the movie channels on my satellite dish.
Well I'm sure that the kids using the mac will have a great future in the corporate world. I mean, they will be able to say, "Would you like iFries with that?
I don't think there was ever an issue that there are environments in the universe (aside from earth) that could support life.
However, the question is, do they in fact support life?
You know as soon as you see a group, then you read into it a bit more and you find out that a lot of the group is composed of competitors. so then it goes from being a group with a legitimate complaint to a group of cry babies who can't compete and are trying to get the government to help them because they are weak.
Guys, he's a film critic, and he doesn't even get those right (all the time). Science Fiction and gaming has always been looked down upon by critics (except video game critics). So, in a nutshell, he doesn't know nothing about gaming so who cares what he thinks?
If this is true, does that not mean (by cause and affect) that there is a provable direct relation between cigarette smoking and cancer? Would that not indicate that a lawsuit is in order?
How is "perceived as being wrong" different than wrong? If it is a incorrect statement or a lie then yes it sucks. If you did what it says you did then suck it up and be a man.
Watching commercials on a Tivo
Now i live in Canada, so I don't have Tivo, but I have the equivalent in Canadian terms. My question is this. Why would anyone in their right mind watch commercials. That's like buying a car and then pushing it around yourself. Definitely not taking advantage of the technology.
You know if people are so stupid that they watch a movie and think that its, really going to happen, to the point that they are going to commit suicide, I say let them. we definitely don't need any more stupid people on this planet.
I guess it all depends on what "reward" you are receiving for watching the add.
If it comes with free content, or free bandwidth or something I can see it. I would want to be able to opt out tho, and pay for what I get, rather than listen to a message.
If I bought an Iphone and had to pay attention to adds, well, my blackberry is working just fine.
What concerns me is that the ToS could change, so I buy something, and then they start pushing adds down my throat afterwards.
This is why I own a PVR.
LOL All they are doing is trying to get their name out there to make money.
There is no such thing as bad publicity, right?
and if you don't know that upgrading your microsoft OS from a previous version isn't a terribly good idea, then you really shouldn't own a computer. Well...maybe a mac.

what is wrong with that guy? He is a cry baby and wasn't doing his job and got fired? And now he is bitching about it? How fail.

Seems to me that an article of this significance belongs in a publication better suited. Like the National Enquirer perhaps?

I know if I hold onto these SIPPs long enough I'll find a use for them eventually.
I didn't say there was no corruption in developing countries. I was sarcastically implying that there is corruption in the US.

Um ya cause there's no corruption in the US.
DAMN, I accidentally printed my plans to take over the world in the Pentagon!!!
If you don't like the internet policy given freely by the airport or hospital...then don't use it.
Exactly the reason i never got one of the iPhones. must have keyboard.
Don't forget that for charities, it's not about helping people, it's all about the Benjamins.

Sucks when you are held responsible for your actions.

We must sue condom companies for not making their products more accessible to people without penises.
