I doubt it, fusion is only being pushed because of people's fantasy that some miracle technology is going to replace oil. nothing will replace oil, nothing at all. when oil becomes too expensive, there wont be anything to fall back on. not fusion, not fuel cells, not even fucking coal. in short: were fucked. http://www.peakoil.com/

I agree, HVD has a capability of 3.9 Terabytes, and i really wish they would get them out yesterday. However, 4 and 8 layer versions of blu-ray are possible, so thats 100 GB and 200 GB respectivly. As long as we get Blu-ray and no HD-DVD i will be happy, but holographic formats are of course preferable.

I've always explained cancer as being an empire of the flesh. Its always interesting to find the parallels between macroscopic things like that kind of human political entity, and a small biological thing like this. If this article is true, then it just adds more complexity, and one more parallel to my analogy.

i dont think this is a bad thing. more and more people are becoming aware of how difficult it is to program GOOD software. By releasing betas, it allows people to get their hands on software much earlier than if it had to be absolutely perfect before being released. Besides, by the time software is actually "complete" and stable its often either obsolete or there is something better out. Betas are just realistic, but you do have to draw the line somewhere I think.
