I personally think whoever wrote the article just went through a list of games, picked out those who looked silly, and then badmouthed them without ever really playing them, thinking they could get away with it because nobody plays them anymore.
So that's how you get a story posted on/.
BULLSHIT! ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS IS A GREAT GAME!
Seriously. I like that game. It has nice music too.
The article refers to its levels as being all essentially the same, but that's not really true. There aren't bosses at the end of levels either. I wonder if they actually played the game.
It's kind of shocking that someone could mistake one of those things for anything besides a toy, but apparently it happened. Some paranoid person decided it would be a better idea to call the cops than just ask the kids to stop carrying them around.
Most quests are pretty short in terms of how many things you have to kill. Five or ten mobs, or something like that. Hardly what anyone would call grinding.
The longest I can think of off the top of my head is "Message to the Wildhammer" ( http://thottbot.com/q7841 ), which requires you to kill a total of 60 things.
> Leveling Improvements
> Many leveling improvements have been made for the old world.
> o The amount of experience needed to gain a level has been decreased between levels 20 and 60. In addition, the amount of experience granted by quests has been increased between levels 30 and 60.
> o Level 1-60 dungeon quests have had their experience and faction rewards increased.
> o Many elite creatures and quests in the level 1-60 experience have been changed to accommodate solo play.
PS, Not all new games require cutting edge technology to play. Some do, but I imagine they are at a severe disadvantage, because as you said, that stuff can be expensive.
Apparently communicating, playing games, or otherwise socializing with people is wrong and bad and evil if it's done over the internet. Clearly, anyone who participates in such activity should be drugged and/or hospitalized immediately.
> Why do the deletionists care if there are trivial articles on there?
It's because they don't want that junk on their Wikipedia.
IMO, deleting and banning certain types of information is a pretty lame course of action.
"Trivial" topics should not be excluded. In what way do they hurt Wikipedia's credibility, anyway?
What's all that got to do with this? How is blaming power companies for global warming like being forced to move because of a chemical accident? How is being pissed off like demanding four hundred million dollars in relocation costs?
Those things are unavoidable. It's called playing GTA. You should avoid virtual drunkenness though. Someone might get hurt!
I love the smell of the sun.
So you admit you've never actually played the game. Or in other words you don't know what you're talking about, and you're just full of bullshit.
Clicking on the image gives you a SMALLER version of it, and an option to BUY it. Buy it. Seriously. I laughed.

They did.

Ever heard of DirectX? How about SDL?

I don't think Blizzard cares much how you get the client. You just pay to play on their servers.
Apparently communicating, playing games, or otherwise socializing with people is wrong and bad and evil if it's done over the internet. Clearly, anyone who participates in such activity should be drugged and/or hospitalized immediately.
So when someone calls you a giant douche on a forum you'll have their name.
How does that even pretend to stop online bullying?
Encyclopedias generally aren't ever cited. I mean, that's why the articles contain references to the actual information sources, right?
What purpose would deleting old articles serve? How is that even relevant?

or that they wouldn't be interested in eating Doritos.
Pfthh!
What isn't worth what? It's a research project. It's not supposed to be profitable.

Launching them into space does sound like a pretty good plan actually.
Lol, PieNet.
Anywhere in 45 minutes or it's free.
PS I don't think they'll be updating the no-CD cracks for this patch version.
The 1.21b patch notes can be read as:
- The game no longer requires the CD to play.
Or as:
- The game no longer requires a no-CD crack to play.

That is a tasty sandwich.
