I always thought that Canada was part of America (the continent) and when I think of the term America I associate the 2 continents. I dislike the ambiguity that allows one country to claim the noun representing an entire continent to represent themselves thus they should be known as USA. USA != America (!= represents should not)
But then I am from Australia and we get to do that as we are the only country on our continent.

There are many researchers who are approaching this problem and aiming to put trust measures PDF file

While it may not be the holy grail in the format that is described in the article it is always possible to add additional social measures to the framework (similar to what has done to filter out trolls and and off topics here in /.)
That is why research is important and although you only read about how it is formated there are definately more research addressing the credibility problem. It is just that you need to have a common basis of understanding (i.e. data format) clarified first before you can extend it to the next problem. Of course the problem with the Semantic Web is deciding on exactly how and what needs to be represented.

As a researcher in trying to integrate knowledge I find this more and more dissapointing. Where the research community is advocating a share model, companies like this come along and remove information from the public domain.
This introduces difficulty as a researcher as this is now a void over which we need jump in order to create new knowledge. As more and more companies become contractors for the government it will ensure that not only researchers but the public will have to pay for information which may be necessary for the growth and understanding of the community as a whole.
It is time for the government to realise that the public should come first and ensure that these types of restrictions do not occur in the future and if possible to revoke those that have already occured.

You forgot the other major problem we have in Australia. Non-continuity! It has been quite often the case (CSI a prime example) that the network would just stop the current season for no reason and start playing reruns in the same time slot. If it wasn't for Grisham's beard showing up in the first few minutes you would have to rack the brain to figure out if you saw it. Then they move it to a new time slot without warning and you end up missing part of the season until you remember to check through the TV guide for new schedules. And finally living in a sport loving nation any program can and will be stopped half way through a season just because some stupid men in white have to stop some little red ball from hitting their wickets!

And then they wonder why we download instead of attempting to watch a season on one of our useless commercial stations (we have a whole 3)

Yes I am bitter! but I do have difficulty discussing Heroes with friends as I am 12 episodes in front.

We have a community station that raises revenue by allowing for SMS queries for song and artist. The only problem is that I only listen to the radio in the car and it is illegal (in Australia) to use a phone while driving. This also allows for me to find names of dance music groups and their songs that I like. Being a non-commercial station they also support local talent and allow user feedback of songs via SMS (spin or bin) to select a better playlist. If more radio stations followed this approach then it would definatley increase their appeal to me.
