  1. /. one-act play. on Cubicles a Giant Mistake · · Score: 1

As I type this, I have just added the last of my defences to my cubicle, and my sanity. Barbed wire covers all edges, sandbags line the walls, camo netting cover the top, and my desk thrown in front of the doorway with a machine gun to defend through the gunport slits in the walls make my pillbox an impenetrable fortress. No more will I be constantly moved around for no reason and have my stapler taken from me!

They tried one time too many, but I was ready, and now the police have the building surrounded and the negotiator is saying something about how me burning down Initech was a mistake, but I am safe between the walls of my beloved cubicle and stacks of TPS reports. They can pry my red Swingline from my cold, dead, hands. Come and get it, cube-Nazis! YEAAARGH!

Well, if economically you feel the same way, then you really sound more minarchist or (little L) libertarian.

The main thing I don't like about the Democratic view on social liberty is they want federal funding and involvement to support all of these freedoms. I'd rather just be left alone, but have police protection if I need it. I don't need huge wasteful federal programs to monitor and enforce them beyond the Dept. of Justice.

In some countries like Germany there are many political parties that form alliances to get most of their plans implemented and people elected. What has happend in the US is simply that these different groups have melded in to two opposing sides that represent everything. It's bandwagoning to the extreme. I think that three to five parties with a little more distinction would be better, though, but it's not like this is some strange anomolous flaw.

Only when those numbers become even noticably close you can say that this correlation does, indeed, imply casuation. (not completely true, but truer than current arguments)

How is this level of violence any different from any age in history? Name one where gladiatorial matches, swordfighting, kids joining the military, kids playing cowboys and indians, or something else didn't happen.

Over one million warriors are battling it out in multiplay on the X-Box Live servers as we speak. That's more than five times the number of armed troops doing battle in Iraq. Which is resulting in more deaths?
