1.0.5 is mainly a security fix, but I have seen a bunch of non-security fixes creep in also, such as removing the default checkbox "yes" for "make firefox my home page." This looks like a big cleanup for the 1.0.x branch, before 1.1 takes over.
I don't know about the security fixes, besides the medium-risk frame/window spoofing thing (with 1.0.4, you should not open untrusted sites at the same time as sensitive sites...). Here are the non-security fixes (non-security as it seems to me) checked in since 1.0.4:
That friend is me. I admit that it's probably a really poor typing style; it was taught to me while I was really young. While I'm typing, my wrists don't touch the keyboard or desk. Actually, right now, my right arm is leaning on my right knee. I think over time, my hands move less and there is some kind of "home" area for them, but I usually only use two fingers and a thumb. (Index for keys, pinky for shift, thumb for spacebar) Yeah, I get strange looks. No, I'm not too slow.;)
Our university bookstore [warning: tacky website] just signed a deal with IBM to buy a bunch of ThinkCentres to sell to the students. Our Support Desk was asked for input on what should be put on the image for each machine. A couple thousand students will now have Firefox installed for them;) (I'm not sure if we put Thunderbird on there or not)
TANSTAAFL/tan'stah-fl/ [acronym, from Robert Heinlein's classic "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress".] "There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch", often invoked when someone is balking at the prospect of using an unpleasantly heavyweight technique, or at the poor quality of some piece of free software, or at the signal-to-noise ratio of unmoderated Usenet newsgroups. "What? Don't tell me I have to implement a database back end to get my address book program to work!" "Well, TANSTAAFL you know." This phrase owes some of its popularity to the high concentration of science-fiction fans and political libertarians in hackerdom (see A Portrait of J. Random Hacker in Appendix B).
No, it's actually fake. Go down near the bottom of the page, go to the contact page, then highlight all of the text on the page to reveal the hidden words that say, "Happy April Fools Math Nerds." Quite an elaborate prank.
Being able to reset anyone's password with a birth date and SSN is careless. University passwords typically give you access to e-mail, class registration, bursar statements, private storage space, and many other things. My school requires a photo ID or notarized form to reset a password. UCSB can [and probably will] do more for security. This wasn't some super 1337 cracking going on.
Giving everyone a say in how people should express thoughts and share information can only lead to more censoring. The Internet was built to communicate information, not stifle it. Having too many cooks in the ki[tt]chen usually means trouble for someone cooking custard. It'll just make a big mess if everyone wants control of it. ICANN should be restructured, not removed. We can still have an open Internet without decentralizing the authorities that help make it run properly.
Excuse me, but I work at a call center (Support Desk) and we absolutely need our P4 2.6ghz HT processors with 512mb RAM. Otherwise, World of Warcraft and BZFlag will have too low of a frame rate.
I would switch banks if my bank introduced that "feature." My checking account stays under $100 in case Paypal or a check forger tries to clean me out.
Q:Which Linux distributions cause the most headaches for your support people? Which ones Just Work? And which one do you use yourself, given the choice?
A:Currently I would have to say Gentoo causes the most support requests. With bleeding edge packages and a million and one different configurations in how you can use it, Gentoo has the most support requests by far.
I wonder if this is true for other packages out there. (This comes from me being a gentoo user)
Slashdot linkified them for me; I just copy and pasted the info.
Here's some good info that colfer from this MozillaZine thread dug up:

I suspect it was changed for marketing/PR purposes. Products have been rejected at the corporate/academic level for lesser reasons.

Hmm.. new phrase?
In the State of Texas, you get SHOT for withholding paychecks!
I wonder how many bash quotes are fake...
He probably heard about it before you were born ;)
Didn't you get the memo? Karma is good.
For factual reasons.
No, the Slashdot comments page loads just fine in Firefox.

Don't blame me, Diebold voted for me!

The problem is that there is no throwaway Ebay account since they require a checking account and/or credit card to create your Ebay account.
