There are hundreds of thousands of people who spent many years studying biology and zoology to become veterinarians and, you know, help animals who will disagree with you.
What animals dare to disagree with me? The roast chicken I ate last night disagreed with me, but at that point I think it was beyond help.
Complain about anything you want in a free society.
But the concept of freedom of speech does NOT apply to:
1. talk about killing someone specifically
2. talk about blowing something up specifically
You appear to have been misinformed. Providing one does not incite imminent lawless action, it is perfectly legal under the First Amendment to advocate killing a specific person or blowing up a specific building, as a result of Brandenburg v. Ohio.
As you accumulate more of it, the marginal utility of money plummets.
That may just mean you end up working harder. The more cocaine you do, the less effectual a given dose becomes. That doesn't mean you give it up. You do more.
Furthermore, you need to account for the fact that as you accumulate more wealth, while each additional dollar gives less of a kick, it also becomes easier to earn. Finally, because wealth distribution is a bell curve, as wealth increases, so does the distance between you and the next guys up on the totem pole. The richer you are, the poorer you are relative to people who are richer than you (up until there's no one left). There was a Wall Street Journal article about this a while ago discussing this phenomenon.
Would your grown-up conversation not allow avowed racists and sexists to argue their views without outing themselves and thereby risking either their account (which they paid for) or even worse, persecution (getting expelled or fired)? On what grounds? That 'we can all agree such talk is bilge', and 'there is no need in modern society for such ideas' or some such? Insofar as bigots exist, and feel the need to express their views, and do not agree these views are without merit, these grounds amount to nothing more than 'because I say so'. What part does 'because I say so' have in a grown-up conversation?
Since when is charging the price that will make you the most money unethical? Why is it Walmart's fault that people don't shop around? You sound like Hugo Chavez.
the Windows/Office cash cow is running out of steam.
I think this is a relevant moment to reflect on that timeless investment maxim, "never put money in a company whose profits depend on a steam-powered cow."
It's sexist in that if a very talented woman programmer was going around hacking in the kernel and found it, it might make her feel uncomfortable. As such, it contributes to the feeling that Linux kernel development is an area in which women aren't welcome... And believe it or not, sort of thing is the reason why there are so few female programmers. Our "tiny female brains" can cope with the actual work *just fine*.:)
How do you know that that sort of thing is 'the' reason? Presumably there are a host of reasons, such as the fact women might rarely be encouraged to consider comp sci as a career in the first place, the fact that the scarcity of women in the field serves in itself as a deterrent, and the fact that the hours can be long and inflexible. Among these reasons, instances such as the one in question could prove to be of greater or lesser importance. Given the complexity of the issue, it seems difficult to determine how much of a reason it is, but surely it is not the reason.
Furthermore, wagging your finger at all of us knuckle-dragging neanderthals who might be disinclined to believe your proposition, and quoting our supposed belief that female brains are tiny (a quotation not in the OP's post) do little more than trivialize the issue at hand. Rather than engaging in much the same bigotry that you purport to condemn, you might consider taking the problem more seriously.
Truly dystopian and I hope never to see pharmaceuticals get their way with such a monstrosity. It takes a mobster mentality to think of such a thing, even half seriously.
oh come on, you know you want to see Team Pfizer take on Team Cali Cocaine Cartel
I think the media coverage alone of this story will do all the work
Apple cannot control that
I think what Apple actually does to comply with this will be largely irrelevant when it's being talked about on the news.

what's that you said? antibiotics kill virii but only if you use the whole bottle?
celebrities for the most part relax while their chauffeurs work to preserve their licenses and future income.
where do you get this information? the only two cases I can come up with off the top of my head are princess Diana's chauffeur (driving too fast, as well as drunk), and Hitler's (also driving too fast, per his instructions)
We already see the situation in electronics, where people go to a local shop, check out what they need and then... order from amazon. This will happen to groceries eventually as well. And that will kill your choice of products, your ability to choose where to spend your money and eventually your ability to actually visit a local store.
kill choice? like the internet killed choice in electronics? and books? and pornography?
Just thinking that Android had to put up with LTE and it did just fine. Maybe Blackberry's problem is user interface, tight control of apps, and now a crowded market with better products.
But blaming on LTE means their problem is well-defined and therefore manageable (stock price goes up), while blaming on lousy products, poor strategic vision, and increasing competition means their problems are multifarious and deep rooted (stock price goes down). Thus it is obvious what the problem must be.
it's like an alcoholic who blames his latest bender on someone spiking his shirley temple.
Why did we go intervene in Lybia and haven't done much yet in Syria? One's an oil producing nation, the other isn't.
Rather, because Russia and China vetoed the security council resolution. Russia only today declared it would temporarily stop selling arms to Syria. Western powers unanimously supported the resolution.
being in a shit-hole place with shit education where everyone has been miserably poor for centuries has much more to do with you being a violent scumbag than the particular batshit superstitions you subscribe to.
send me a vial of your DNA, and I'll provide you photographic evidence that I brought it to the moon. You'll know it's me because I'll be holding an american flag, and the picture will be in black and white (got to cut costs somewhere).
