This should be called a feature. Netflix advertises itself as a streaming service. Amazon Prime claims that you can
"own" the movie. Problem is Prime is still just a streaming service. It's false advertising and the reason I don't use Prime for movies. If I "buy" a movie, I expect to be able to d/l to a portable drive so I can watch it when I don't have a data connection. If I subscribe to streaming service, I won't have that expecation.

As I was only printing teaching instructions for using the accounting software I trained users on, I thanked him kindly for the warning and carried on.

Nick Denton and Gawker Media were found guilty in a Court of Law of invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Things they appear to have done many times before to many people. Most of the times they did these things, they got away with their terrible actions for various reasons. Mostly, they picked on people who could not afford to fight them. In these cases, it was Gawker who was harnessing the power of the wallet in, or out of the Courtroom.
Please don't cry about how unfair it was that Theil could bring down Gawker with his money. It was Gawker that has been playing that game all along.
Kudos to the mom for knowing how to save her child's life. This is important knowledge that every parent should possess and be able to put to use. Great job mom!

I was thinking about updating one of my machines to Win 10. A machine that usually only the kids used for browsing and other simple stuff. Then I realized that for my situation at hand, a Chromebook would be a much better option.
Why go into all that Win 10 nonsense if the machine is only going to be used to watch Netflix, go on Instagram or pull up homework for school?
This is why I grind my teeth anytime someone says we can't tax the corporations or else they'll go somewhere else. They took their jobs to China. Now they take their investment dollars there too. Tax the shit out of them I say.

Last I've seen (Windows 10) they are still soliciting the feedback of people that have never even seen a computer before. That or they are using slight deranged Labrador Retrievers for feed back. Guppies swimming in a tank maybe.
