I used to have a couple of accounts with he.net. I've moved them to Westhost. I'll agree with everything you say positive about them, especially when it comes to the people, they're great. I had trouble with their availability. They said it was a "few bad apples" and moved my accounts to a different server. Ok, that happens in shared hosting. After the third move, I had to give up.
Sure they can see what you are watching but they don't care about you or what you watch. You are only one in millions. They are interested in the overall trends of what the millions are watching. So relax, you're just one grain of sand on the beach.
Unless of course you have a vengeful ex somewhere.
My new projects are in Flex and/or php so I stay with Eclipse to save my sanity. I still have to use Delphi for maintenance work on older projects so having to keep 3 IDEs in my tiny little brain at once would be difficult for me. Even so, I'm hitting F2 in Delphi to save. Grrr.
I used up my mod points yesterday morning so now all I can do is say "Right On Brother" and offer you a fist bump. I'm certain that the "improvement" the government is looking for is the total elimination of anonymity in the Tubes.
They that can give up anonymity for the sake of reducing Spam deserve neither anonymity or a reduction in Spam.
If when you say "China was responsible for the attacks" you are referring to the Chinese Government or persons acting at the direction or in the employ of the Chinese Government, I'd agree that's probably not the case. On the other hand if you are referring to persons based in China acting of their own volition in an attempt to show patriotism for their country possibly in return or with the expectation of favors from those in power then I think we can safely say "Yeah, that's them." It is all very convenient for the Chinese Government because they can sit back and truthfully say "We did not do these things." If anyone can ever really prove the source of these attacks, the Chinese Government can shake a finger at those responsible and say "Don't do that again." claiming they've done all they can to stop the rogue vandals.
Exactly! And those individuals do not require a corporation has a vehicle to exercise their constitutional rights. They can do that already as individuals. What's next? Giving corporations the right to vote?
It's called the Juan Valdez Amendment to the Constitution. It's there really. Look it up. It guarantees all workers the right to free coffee during work hours. Ratification of that Amendment has been written into my employment contracts for over 20 years.
Write to ebook companies asking them for open and compatible formats
Don't worry. DRM fragments the market to an extent that authors and publishers will not abide. As E-Books become more common, there will be many different readers from many different manufacturers each with it's own (incompatible) drm scheme. As an author or publisher are you going to take the time, trouble and expense to accommodate 10 different schemes? No, you'll pick 2 or 3 hoping to cover most of the market but realizing that you are turning your back to some percentage of the total market and that means lost sales. At some point, the scales tip and you as an author or publisher say "Enough!" and release your work with no drm simply so you can reach 100% of your market. So we as readers, buyers and consumers don't have to do anything except sit back and wait. I just hope it doesn't take long.
One morning with nothing better to do, I watched from my hotel window as a crew removed snow from the Moscow street below. Men with shovels scooped the snow into a truck, no other machines were used. The truck disappeared to dump the snow into the river. The snow has so much salt in it that nothing, absolutely nothing downstream survives. It's a huge source of pollution. It took the truck about two hours to dump the snow and return. During this time the men lean against their shovels and smoked. They did not employ a second truck which led me to assume that in Russia a truck is worth more than six men.
So there is a good reason to stop snow accumulation in Moscow (reducing pollution) but unemployment would spike.
He said "one year old Pioneer" so he's got a cheap usb flash chip on it now. What he's talking about is updating the flash with new music he acquires. I use a pair of 8 gig micro SDs (~100 cds). I keep one in the car and one in the house. I update the one in the house with the new music and it goes out to the car with me the next day, the old one goes back in the house. I see his point. It would be cool to be able to D/L new music directly to the SD in the car but swapping SDs is a minor inconvenience really.
I usually comment much more (and need to) when I'm coding drunk. That also explains the excessive use of the word "Fuck" in my comments. But even drunk, I know the difference between their, there and they're.
I really really dislike Microsoft and their practices. I don't give a flip about any TOS. Yeah, you bought the hardware, you can do with it what you will. But I've laid out some serious coin to make certain my kids can play Halo. I don't like the idea that some modder will unfairly kick their butts.
"The question is not whether the court approves of the plaintiff's litigation tactics, but whether the plaintiff acted for the purpose of harassing or annoying the defendant."... "Plaintiffs have doggedly pursued their copyright infringement claim, but I find no evidence of undue vexatiousness or ill motive on their part."
Hello! That's exactly what they are doing. Chasing after other family members not a party to the action and trying over and over to find the existence some magical external drive.
Summary sucks as usual but I think NYCL got a bit of the shaft on this one.

This is seriously more astro-turfing than I have ever seen you do for any of your other products. Good going Marketing Dept.
Lively? Yeah that worked out well.

Go short in where ever My Little Pony ends up next.

I think it would be much more effective as well as cheaper to give free counseling to any one who ashamed of the size of their penis.
No thanks, I'm good.

They open sourced Panda 3D (used to build Toontown and Pirates of the Caribbean On-Line) in 2002. It currently has a BSD license.

In all fairness, it was a few years ago - maybe 7 years ago.

My God man, it's got Furries, stay away. Stay far away.

Next stop India. "Is there anything else I can help you with today?"
Agreed. My NC10 goes everywhere I do, it's a champ. And I could buy three or four of the Sammys for the price of my big Toshiba.
I've been to both Perm and Moscow and let me tell you they are completely different places. Do not confuse the two.

Ban the modders from XBL.
Wasn't that the theory behind the coin flips in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead which preceded Tegmark by some 30 years?.

Keep up the good work Ray.
After you get your Zune will you send me a picture? I've never seen one.
