but in any event autogyros can't hover so they're not replacements for helicopters.
While it can't hover like a helicopter you can get it to fly really slowly into a really strong headwind (as with all other planes). It's almost like as if you're hovering.
I must confess, I never proof read my own writing and often I will think faster than I can type. The result is that I occasionally drop a word or two. What I meant to say there was "On a slightly different note." But I don't think the loss of that one word changes the meaning of the sentence a whole lot as that phrase was a bit superfluous anyway.
Technology, as it is today, is all too fleeting. New technology is being pushed out at an ever increasing rate with the new products quickly supplanting the old. The old is then quickly forgotten. I applaud the effort of this group in its work to keep a living record of the heart of the machines that have been the core of most of lives for almost half a century.
On a slightly note, I believe we need better cataloging of technology in general as many old file are effectively being lost due the technology require to read them no long exist. Of course this raises further questions of how to maintain such cataloging as the cataloging infrastructure ages so that the data doesn't get lost. Oh what a vicious cycle it is.
Believe it or not it is something I and many others do every. Sure we crank everything though spreadsheets and all sorts of other tools, but its always easy to place an extra zero, drop a zero or transpose number. At least if you have a ballpark figure you know if something is an order of magnitude off it can't possibly be right.
While it is good to see a detected false positive rectified it is a situation that should not have happened in the first place. When governments tread down the dangerous road of censorship it is better to err on the side of false negatives than false positives. False negatives do not hurt anyone if the rate is low enough but a false positive can generate much notoriety for the government. It makes the government seem unusually cruel and overbearing and gives the impression they are trying to exert tight and almost claustrophobic control over the population. Erring the other way can make a government appear more benevolent and will appear to be looking out for the best interest of the people and so what if they miss a few, the government is trying its best.
Just forgot to add you can get them from the Perth Mint. The Perth Mint works out of Perth Australia so for those carbon footprint conscious out there, just be aware its being shipped from one of the most remote cities in the world.
Another pacific island nation Tuvalu has a set of proof Transformer coins. Again like the star wars coins, these are made out of silver but stamped with some token face value. The coins portraying the characters of Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Also in this case, since it was a capital crime, "doing the time" could very well mean he would be executed. The punishment seems very much disproportionate to what he actually did. All he did was expose corruption and for that he should get the firing squad?
I wouldn't have imagined that in this day and age there would many servers out there still with an active telnet service but I do know that a few ADSL modems out there and the odd network attached device. If you run a server and you leave your servers wide open you are asking for trouble. I've learned my lessons the hard way as I blundered my way into setting up my own LAMP based webserver and leaving openings wider than the Grand Canyon. When you're 15, a little knowledge can me dangerous. To cut a long story short, a lot of data was lost and a lot of time was wasted getting thing back up and running. Dumb things I did included opening up telnet to the world, trivial passwords, same passwords used everywhere and allowing root to login from telnet.
How about World of Starcraft. I know this has been mentioned many times, but I do think it is a good idea. I'm hooked on to Eve Online. I can see something like Eve with a Starcraft theme. I'd buy it.
Being from the 'Land Downunder' it hard not to ignore another technological milestone that is also turning 50 this year. What technology am I talking about? Why its the humble television. Being the backwater country it was back in 1950's, it wasn't until 1956 that Australia finally got television. As of this year Australians as a whole have been through 50 years of television. It is sad to say many of those pioneering TV presenters have long pass on, but such if life. So as we celebrate the 50 year harddrive, also remember that 50 years ago Australia finally entered the age of Television.
Passwords can be cracked. But with finger print recognition and retina scans it certainly makes things hard if those involved refuses to cooperate. And no, you can't just remove the eye or finger since many newer systems can tell if the body part is alive by measuring oxygen content, blood flow and the like.
This is sickly scary. It's a shame people have allergies and can't have pets, but they make medicine for that. It's just not right to be making genetically altered animals. They are the way they were made.
I've tried this in the past and this method seriously limited my quality of life. Most medcation that alleviate the symptoms are not without side effects. Would it not be better for all if these cats are made avaiable and people won't have to take medications. I mean, the cats wouldn't know they are geneticly engineered, so how would it possible affect their quality of life. If anything being such an expensive cat would mean the owners would take much care of it than if it was some little runt. I certain know if I was the owner of one of those cats, it would be spoilt silly.
For someone who has grown up never having a cute, furry pet, this is something I strongly welcome. I have allergies to most things and cats are certainly one of them. There is the constant sense of envy as friends talk about what cute things their kittens have done or how proud they are that their cat has caught a few mice. You can't really say the same sort of thing about fish. Now don't get me wrong, I still care for my fishes very much but I guess that there isn't really the same sort of attachment you would get with a warm blooded mammal.
I would be willing to pay up to $4000 to buy such a kitten, for if I was to get a regular cat, I'd probably be spending as much in medication.
This won't just benefit vegetarians but also for those of us who are lactose intolerant. Without a doubt there are some of us(including me) that have severe allergies to dairy product and there is always the stigma of refusing something as simple as a slice of pizza at a party. I have a friend who is gluten intolerant and suffer the same problem of missing out on so much of life.
I for one would like to see a non dairy cheese especially one that would melt. If the government doesn't spend money on such research, I doubt anyone else would. I suspect the market simply would not be big enough it to warrant the kind or research needed. Still, it would be nice to see the day when I can enjoy a pizza with out spending a couple of hours on the toilet afterwards.
I personally prefer a good lynching. Nothing like a public lynching to gather a crowd. These used to great wholesome entertainment where you can bring the whole family to. Bring back lynchings I'd say.

You would say that after inhaling all the smoke from the burning incense.
Glad to finally see a robot with a bit of spine and standing up to bullies. I wish I had such a (role) model when I was a wee lad.

Nice a new island for the new year. What more can you want?
Personally I find this story a little hard to swallow.
Yes, a very large geographic feature, that moves.
Didn't know you could get bear arms. Thought bears were and endangered animal.

This is one situation where Biometric ID is warranted.

Yeah, we should be buy our electronics from the Taiwanese!
