I have a Motorala V235 and it lasts for about a week to ten days before I have to charge it again -- it has a readable colour screen, a good UI, and a camera. Who ever said cameras and battery life were mutually exclusive?
Actually, it was in New Mexico. Near Las Cruces, in fact. How do I know? I've been there!...
Hell, you're probably just making a joke. But damnitall, let the facts be known!
I don't think the property of *exclusive content* applies to the internet. Digital information can be too easily copied for any exclusive content to stay exclusive for long.
Actually I was. I just didn't notice that one. Also, it's driving me crazy with English/American spellings -- note millimeter/millimetre is spelt both ways. Sorry, Slashdot, I'll look more closely next time.
This doesn't look to be a problem due to poor engineering. This merely looks like Microsoft has underestimated the popularity of it's service. If anything, it is an indicator of Microsoft's continuing success in this console war, even as the PS3 and the Wii launch.
I should bloody well hope so. I'm apply to Cambridge -- I don't want to waste precious time or money getting a degree that will be useless. My father always warned me that if I went into computing it would instantly disappear and the next big thing would take its place, leaving me helpless. Well, it hasn't happened yet, it'd better not do it in the next decade either!
Also: Would it be more or less beneficial to go for something like Computer Engineering or Graphic and Video Game Design, a more specialised field, for one's first degree or better to decide a speciality until later?
Wow, figures. I actually used TFA for my Cambridge application -- nice to see it appearing on/. albeit slightly later than I expected. Really though, Cambridges Computer Science Lab (funded by our friend Bill Gates, among others) is doing some amazing things. Check out their website at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/.

I'd generally trust NASA and its scientists on this one.

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/planet Really, was that so hard?
Mod parent up for cunning The Cheat reference.
Wait, wait, wait... it's only 80% faster despite having 100% more cores? Where's that extra 20% going?
Mod parent up. Mod grandparent down.
MOD parent up, that's fricken' hilarious! Yeah, because I said so!

Mod parent up for Dr. Strangelove reference.
FUN FACT: They also spelt Reporters without Borders wrong... as Reporters sans frontieres...
OH MY GOD THEY MAY BE FOREIGNERS.
