The bless of free Market. If there's anyone willing to pay for it, legal or not, there will be someone selling it. But I agree with you, most people that actually hold the knowledge aren't up to wide-spread law breaking.
I'll choose the lesser evil. Imagine, if internet control was wide and completely democratic, dictatorial goverments whould be able to use political pressure to control the web inside their borders. That would be bad for everyone. So it's better to keep the current system.
I wasn't around when the original Atari was ruling, but for my experience with This Atari games, especially RPGs, I can say they are awesome and most certainly will be missed by many.
Actually it's not insane, if they did the research and the investments, they should be able to profit from their efforts. However when they hold the monopoly over a certain medicine that could heal millions and demand an absurd price for this cure, preventing people from getting it, that's is wrong.
Remember if there was no Market, there whould be no one willing to invest in drugs research. They provide a very valuable service and a midle-ground should be negociated.
actually my car has a EPS ( Other cars with Eps ) and think of the impact of this in honda's autopilot car so, this idea could prove to be very dangerous indeed.
Besides that there's a lot of critical eletronic-systems already very much in use such as ABS eletronic-breaks
I'm thinking of a new layer(a Glayer if you may =), that would allow different services or more security/anonimity. Kinda like i2p, Tor or Freenet. That could be extremely useful.
Probably it will suck, but I'm guessing this is a step in the direction to the hypermedia that some day will extinguish the limits between tv, games and internet.
Same here.
When you're trying to learn J2EE in Eclipse, you spend half of the time try to figure out Eclipse. NB is much more user-friendly and NB5 has actualy increased my productivity, specially with struts projects.
Why do we need a new fifa game every year? Does the soccer rules change that much? Are the graphics improvements really that compeling?
I think that's one of the problems. Every year they release a bunch of sports games that are at least 95% the same as the the previous and they expect us to keep buying.
Maybe they should stop recycling games and increase investiments in better games.
Most games are one monitor only, but there's no rule. The developer's imagination is the limit. Multi-monitor experience can be much more enjoyable and all we need is a descent game system to take advantage of such. Take the nintendoDS for example. I can think of at least a couple of games that would improve from multi-monitor suport, specially Simulators.
Most people into Final Fantasy are anime fans and we don't care at all for dubs.
Really a origianl audio with subtlis is much more appeling. Of course they need the dub audio for the too-lazy-to-read-subs-people(read Americans).
So unlike MS, when we realise that google is the real 4th horseman it will be too late...

Personally I think this is due to Vista Uber-DRM-tech. This will be like the holy grail for game publishers.

They are one screw-up away from Bush demanding every copy of GTA:SA to be burned cos it could potencially be used to train terrorist attacks.
