  1. Re:Small business associations on Health Insurance for the Self-Employed? · · Score: 0

I get my insurance from my local Chamber of Commerce. I had to pay $150 a year to join. My premium just for myself is $328 per month. If you have kids and wife, you could pay $1000 a month. They may have cheaper plans with higher deductibles.

You should have saved all your time buying and returning stuff and just bought an iPod like everyone else.

  4. Re:Following Careerbuilder on Yahoo! Goes To Print · · Score: 0

This has to put a dent in CareerBuilder with so many papers signing up with Yahoo. I read Monster was doing the same deal with the Philadelphia Inquirer.

  5. Re:Having worked at Yahoo... on Yahoo! VP Calls For a Shakeup · · Score: 0

I don't see what the real fuss is about Yahoo. They are a strong No. 2 to Google and plenty of people still use the site daily including myself. So they aren't Google? Big deal.

Couldn't they replace both of these guys with Giselle Bundchen and another model? That would make these commercials more watchable.

  9. Shared Songs Deleted After 3 Plays on David Pogue Takes On the Zune · · Score: 0

What is really funny about the Zune is Microsoft lets you share music wirelessly but allows you to listen to it only 3 times before it is deleted. Now who the hell is going to buy this device with such an annoying feature?

  10. Re:Go Digital SLR! on 10 Reasons To Buy a DSLR · · Score: 0

I have a Nikon D70. It takes great pictures but I spent $1200 for it a couple of years ago. I recently got a Panasonic Lumix digital camera that fits in your pocket. I have to say I like using the Lumix because it is easier to carry around and the 5 megapixels are good enough. Since most people are just posting these online to share with friends, an SLR takes photos that are way too big and are going to get reduced anyway.

Microsoft really isn't going to spend time making things compatible for other browsers and OS's unless they can get a user fee out of it.

Since Google is paying $1.65 billion for YouTube, they will definitely hold out for more money. It's tough doing things the legal way.

  14. Re:Missing the real story! on Google Shares Ad Wealth With Videographers · · Score: 0

Google is sharing ad revenue with lots of sites through its Adsense program. It's a reason why they are on top. They are willing to share in the success with other sites so both have a vested interest in succeeding.

  18. What Measurement Service is Reliable? on Alexa, Amazon's Most Flawed Idea · · Score: -1

If Alexa is not accurate, then what is? A lot of big companies are complaining about Nielsen-Net Ratings not being accurate as well. There is no set web measuring system. Alexa can give a good gauge of site popularity but it's not necessarily 100% accurate. Nothing is.
