"State-level roads are sufficient. The US economy would not collapse if the interstate highway system suddenly vanished."
Ahahahah. That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. You obviously don't live in Los Angeles, or any other major city.
Well, you're pretty much dead no matter what type of bullet hits you. Plus, it's much harder to shoot someone with an AK, since it's alot less accurate than an M16 at range, and the recoil is much stronger.
I've heard pilots talking through my car radio while I was driving under approaching planes. Could be the normal communication equipment that's jamming your calls.:)
IANAA but I'd think that since there are two stars, the habitable range would be much further out than for a single star system. Also, the further you get away from the binary system, the more it appears like a single gravitational source, so you're more likely to have stable orbits further out as well.
Of course, this is all guessing.:)
I've never run a marathon, but I notice that my times for 5-10k's are faster in a group vs running solo. I'm not sure if that's the amped up factor, or the "drafting" effect.:)
I agree. I find it alot harder to run on a treadmill than on the road. Maybe it's the fact that you are stuck at a constant speed and it's not as easy to slow down a bit if you need to. I also seem to have alot more trouble keeping cool on a treadmill vs running outside.
I remember back in the day, I would play marathon sessions of "syndicate" and then go to work at an amusement park. I kept imagining mowing down the crowds of people with a mini gun. lol.
Or after playing "lode runner" for hours and then trying to read a book, I would imagine that little guy running across the tops of the words and dropping through the spaces.
I think video games do have an impact on your perception, at least in my case. Not that I actually would have ever shot anybody... but I can see how they would have an impact on a relatively normal person... If thats what I qualify as.:)
I think video games are fine for exercising, but there are quite a few useful things you can learn from exercise and sports, though. Yoga pops into my mind as one example. It's really useful beyond just the physical workout aspect. (Stress management, mental clarity in challenging situations)
Yeah, but that's just australian money. :)
I think I saw that, or was it killdozer. lol.
I think their antenna is a wee bit larger :)

If that's the case, then why are there interstate freeways in alaska and hawaii?? :)
Oh yeah, I know everyone will want to de-solder their batteries from their $600 phone with some kit they bought on e-bay.
Because they're dicks!
I'm guessing they will have some obscene holographic UI that will require all that power just to use word...

Just think of all the car chases that will come to a quick end once the version with hellfire missiles is rolled out!

The bullets for a AK also weigh about 2x as those of a M16, so essentially, you get twice as many shots with the M16.
I don't think I'll ever look at a chicken in quite the same way again... :)
So now american companies are pirating chinese software? Oh the irony! :)

Hmm, I actually completely forgot that the zune existed. :)

Walrus Porn? You are a sick sick man! :D
I thought that's the whole point of linux, something complicated and hard to use, so you can show everyone how smart you are. :)
