    The new Monkey Island has an option to play with the original graphics, instantly switching back and forth with an F-key, if memory serves.

    The customer in Fargo bought the car, IIRC. BTW, I bought a laptop last February from BB, great price and I'm really happy with it. They tried the "all pre-optimized" thing with me, but when I bitched and asked to talk to the manager, they didn't charge for it.

    Cyclo, have a look at the Squeezebox. High end D/A converter & wireless connection to your PC. Interface is not the greatest but otherwise a great piece of equipment.

    Take the mono Beatles albums for example. They have a much richer, warmer, bassy sound than the CDs that were eventually released (particularly on everything from Rubber Soul on). Beatles CD's are notoriously badly mastered. Some bootleg CD's mastered from Mobile Fidelity vinyl that are available sound light years better. I can't comment about sounding worse than the vinyl from which they are taken, not having heard them.
